Somebody mind explaining this?

Something about high level equipment?

Sometimes your pronunciation is just plain weird (voicing foreign words as if they were Dutch, like in dossier) and you twist expressions like in "zeker en vast", we can't help but laugh at stuff like that, sorry!

I was talking about twisting and bending words in what we both consider to be "AN" (not some regional accent). Let's take the word "zeven", here, we'll pronounce it as "zeve" (silent n). But you guys twist it into something beyond recognition. The "z" becomes an "s", the "e" becomes "euj", the "v" becomes an "f" and the "e" becomes "euh". Seujfeuh.

Ja ge klappe goe Nederlands zenne, nie juust nen Hollanders.

Yeah... because all of a sudden we can't conjugate anymore and don't know the difference between singular and plural... Just because we use "ge" instead of "je". And i have no idea what that final part is supposed to mean :)

Belgian defenders are dropping like flies.

Hope this means my man Vertonghen can finally start as a CB and crush some American dreams.

Ugh EVERYONE knows that the central defense should be Vertonghen - Kompany... except Wilmots. Granted, we don't have a top notch LB, so he puts Vermaelen next to Kompany (not as talented, but usually more focused) and puts Vertonghen LB. But when Vermaelen is injured, you seriously have to be all kinds of Dutch stereotypes, to put Van Buyten on Kompany's spot and force Kompany to play against his foot. Especially when you have Lombaerts as back up.

But ofcourse, Wilmots still played with Van Buyten two centuries ago, so don't look any further.

But to answer your question, no way in hell will he take Vertonghen off his LB spot, because he simply doesn't have anyone else. Vertonghen's problem is that he is not only the best lefty central defender, but also the best LB we have. Obviously he isn't half the LB he is compared how he plays in the centre, but we have decent alternatives in the center (Vermaelen, Lombaerts) but simply nobody for the LB spot comes close.

Just some basic word play, using the name of the countries to fill the sentence. For example, Iran is also a conjugated form of the verb "ir" (to go) so he is saying "a lot of teams Iran (will go) to Brazil". Ghana, sounds like "gana" which means "win", etc.

It's a word play. They use the Spanish names of some countries as verbs :P

"A World Cup below the Ecuador; to Brazil will go a lot s of teams, countries with a high level and countries with low (level), and even when in Mexico, they eat a lot of Chile, to me USA wins"

Iran = will go
Paises Bajos = Low Countries (Paises Bajos being another name for Netherlands)
Ghana (Gana) = Win

Edit: Beaten like Spain

It's a play on the country names and their rough equivalent meaning in Spanish. In a nutshell:

"In a world below the equator [Ecuador], many teams will go [Iran] to Brazil. Countries of both high and low levels. Even though they eat chili [Chile] in Mexico, in my opinion Argentina will win [Ghana = gana]."

apparently Forlan has been training like crazy in San Januario

it's probably gonna be Stuani in Suarez' place for the first half at least, but it'd be nice to see Diego do something

Ahh ok thanks.

Also checked a sports store here in the US.

There are a ton of people in line to buy US and Mexican gear.

All of the Italian gear is on sale an nobody is buying it.

Oh man, my goddaughter wants that sale gear. She decided she's rooting for Italy "because they invented pizza and also pasta." She asked me to let her know when their next game is; I didn't have the heart....

Oh man, that sucks. ):

She could support Mexico, I mean the colors of the flag is similar... and I'm sure if you showed her the gifs of Miguel Herrera (Mexico's coach) she would want to support us. It's hard to don't like Herrera, lol. :)

So this is a bit left field, but does anyone remember Fabien Barthez having an injury at a World Cup, I think it was 2002, where he had what appeared to be someone shooting a super soaker/water pistol at his ass? My brother and I were both talking about it last night and I can not find anything about it online.

only thing I remember about Barthez is his attempts at refusing to be in the goal when he didnt agree on a penalty call, lol

I was the biggest Barthez fan, and to my surprise I discovered that he is now a racing driver!

The man is awesome. And bald, which makes him awesomer.

No.
Brazil vs Uruguay in a brazilian World Cup again would be crazy. Imagine if Uruguay wins again

I am brazilian too and I want this to happen.
Na verdade apenas quero o Brasil fora da copa, pra Dilma não usar a seleção como cabo eleitoral

EDIT: that´s photoshop don't worry

Not a bad idea! They invented tacos, after all.

RE: MLS attendance

Some eurosnobs were talking about how the world cup has zero affect on MLS attendance

Red Bulls in April:
Attendance: 14,768
Attendance: 13,278

Red Bulls tonight:

A long restart from midfield by defender Matt Miazga was lofted into the box and Cahill won the header, sending the ball to the left of the goal where Bradley Wright-Phillips drove it into the far side of the net in the 93rd minute to give the Red Bulls a 2-2 tie with Toronto FC before 20,176 at Red Bull Arena.

Yup, Cahill is already playing again. Shame he couldnt do that in the cup.

Henry played too. I thought he was injured which is why he didnt go to Brazil?

Henry was in Brazil, he was a pundit for the BBC and left last week to return to the mls

If you meant play for France, he's retired from international football
