I don't have much experience on this, but for the Winter Sale, the equivalent cards decreased in value on the last day because people were scrambling to get rid of them before they disappeared.

They are rare drops, sometimes instead of a common card you get a foil.

Ah, okay thanks! The market seemed to be crashing just a moment ago. The card nr. 1 was going for 3 cents but kept on disappearing, crazy.
