This week was totally fine. I guess it's a problem if you don't enjoy the Jeff/Drew vibe, but this was one of the most content stacked weeks in a while.
We got UFC, Crimsonland, Spintires, Shovel Knight, Valiant Hearts, Transformers, GRID, Enemy Front Quick Looks, Patricks video, Jar Time, two Bombin's, Mailbag, Worth Playing, UPF, the Beast Stream and the podcasts.
That's...a lot.

This thread just went full weekend. Never go full weekend.
I thought it was one of the best UPFs in a loooong time this week, and really liked most of the QLs this week despite the audio problems some of them had (which I'm gonna go ahead and blame on Drew not being in the studio). I think Drew's getting much better at doing QLs. Also, I didn't really notice Jeff getting "impatient" with him or whatever during any of the QLs. Great week of content imo.
Anyways, excited for tomorrow (or tuesday, whenever they're gonna reveal the new hires)!

That post went full weekend then, how about that? And I was mostly referring to his "points" about Brad. People can be as negative as they want, but that kind of stuff rubs me the wrong way. Anyways, you have a point about overreaction.
Yeah, I liked the QLs and especially UPF this week, not bad for missing some manpower.
I don't know what the duck I'm doing in this thread during a weekend but since I have spared myself from the past couple of pages I'm hoping I won't get an infection out of this.
But over all I have really high hopes for next couple of weeks. Next week hopefully we'll get an impromptu live stream like last year's Freedom Stream or what ever it was called. New guys will hopefully not fuck it up.

I just realized that if I remember correctly by the time this was being recorded Ryan had just passed away the same morning and no one knew about it so things were still awesome. Well, not really awesome I guess :-(

This week was great. I really like Drew & Jeff quick looks so extra win for me.
Sounds like the new Mac Pros will really help with their content pipeline. That with the extra staff will probably mean more video then ever. Can't wait.

That is until they up the bitrate and switch to 1080p60 and it takes just as long to render out videos as it used to!

Edit: Also, the comments on that video are so disappointing. So much hate for the speedrunners just because they don't know who an Internet video game funny man is. But they are YouTube comments, and it's my fault for reading them.
The host of the PS Nation podcast revealed that Jason (a friend of his) was the new producer a couple of weeks ago. He even posted in this thread to apologize because he thought it was common knowledge when it wasn't (it was "going around E3", or what phrase he used).

I hoped the overblown tone of that sentence would have sufficed to communicate that I was merely taking the last few comments and making fun of them but I guess either I failed or you two are way too sensitive to read into such things. We'll never know which one but I like living dangerously.
On a side note have they confirmed anyone else for the International 2014 trip than Brad? I'd prefer if Drew went with him so we'd get cool video stuffs as well.

Heh, yeah, there's been complaining about that over the years, but Rorie has just said that it's out of their hands unless they change a merch manufacturer etc., and they're not gonna do that. I've bought almost every t-shirt they've put out over the years, and yeah, that postage is a bitch.
Nothing said on the subject. I always got the impression that he's going there just on his personal time, so I don't expect it. Still, would've been super cool to have a Drew produced travelogue-style video from there.

Yoshi's New Island might have the worst sound design of any Nintendo game ever.
The game was just so dissapointing overall. It looked really lifeless with very few of the visual inventive moments of the first game, and it sounded like shit. The music might be the worst music of any Nintendo game and yeah, the sound design is pretty terrible in general. Let's hope the new Yoshi game is better, it at least looks fantastic visually.

He's the excitement GB needs. Next time GBeast and GB west come together he and Vinny need to do a quick look together. It would probably be awesome.
