When 1+1=2 is common knowledge, an argument doesn't need to be presented to prove why it's true. There does need to exist proof to support it, but the proof doesn't always need to be stated. Sometimes the proof is already known. Now, I may be wrong to assume that the other person doesn't already see it as common knowledge, because in my mind the other person is simply denying something that they know to be true, but if that person actually challenges my argument by suggesting proof, that's when I know that the person needs to see proof. There is no such thing in this world as a fact that doesn't mandate an argument to support it. 1+1=2 is something that needs to be justified by argument and proof (it only requires a simple argument to prove this for most people, but it actually requires a rather complicated mathematical proof).
Mega Man X and Legends exists within the same universe as Mega Man, but that does not make them apart of the main series. Mega Man, Mega Man X and Mega Man Legends are all individuals series. Going by the universally accepted notion that when there is more than one series of a single property that are all active at the same time (Spider-Man comics for example) there is usually or always one series that is considered the main one. There is support around the internet for why Mega Man 1-10 is considered the main series, but I am currently on my iPad and searching around the internet would be tedious. If needed I will gather the support later on.The Classic, X, Zero, and ZX games are all seen as a singular continuity of plot and gameplay. It is actually more coherent than many other series (such as the Legend of Zelda series).
The way you asked that question paints me as the "bad guy" in this conversation ("This guy" "insisting" "just spin-offs"). I trust the Capcom rep to answer the question honestly, but that's emotional manipulation. I'm not going to ask you to change it, but if I was asking the question I would have asked in in a more neutral way:
All the pics will be from Smash Run.
We're getting the Polar Bear pic this week.
This is true of any series. It's only more obvious here because the fanbase is divided into two halves that want to murder each other.Smash attracts a large number of people who will never admit they're wrong under any circumstances.
SAKURAAAAIIII
If it's a time related issue, WHY THE HELL can they not all be main series then, going by the boldedWhen 1+1=2 is common knowledge, an argument doesn't need to be presented to prove why it's true. Does anyone want to clear the situation up?"
In fact, I think I'm gonna submit my more neutral version.

I'd like to point out that this argument is really dumb. There must have been a point to it, but I don't remember.
I'm not a part of the debate, but it is a bit silly when these arguments extend to intricate franchises like Mega Man and whatnot. I mean can anyone even manage to clarify what a "mainline Mario" is anymore?

Oh, I agree that this is dumb. But this is also SmashGAF. Dumb is what we do.I'd like to point out that this argument is really dumb. There must have been a point to it, but I don't remember.
Edit: Are you serious? How is that making it more vague? I'm not getting rid of the actual quotes. All I did was change the wording so it doesn't come off as "I'm in an argument and I want you on my side" because that's how it comes off.
And no, I'm not "accepting" that I'm wrong... Because I'm not.
I believe it goes SM3DL > NSMB2 > NSMBU > SM3DW.what's next on the 25th anniversary list anyway
There's a difference between vague and complicated. There's nothing wrong with getting a complicated answer, because you can still get a definitive answer from it. Not that I was even trying to make it complicated. My neutral version had nothing to do with that, it was more to present the argument in a neutral/unbiased way. A way that wasn't manipulative. In order to get a straight answer from them that doesn't try to throw you a bone because of how you presented the question. You're making it more vague because asking "Are Mega Man 1-10 the only mainline games, while the rest are all just spin-offs?" leads to the straightfoward answer of "No, of course not", whereas asking "Are games that are not in the original Mega Man series like X and Legends are considered part of the main series?" leads to a more complicated "Well, the classic series is the "main" series, and they're not part of the classic series, but if you mean main series as in the mainline games then yes, they are part of that".
The Doki Doki Panic re-skin is considered mainline while Mario Land is not? Wuuuuuuuut...
It deconfirms characters. Any character it eliminates is gone from your game for good. Final Smash appears to do nothing, but resets the roster to include all of Your Favourite newcomers once you start the next match, and instantly deletes them the moment you try and start a match with them. The company itself as a character in Smash?

Man, the Mii's not being allowed in online is really lame. I'm probably hardly ever going to use them because of that. And they actually look kind of fun.
I have no friends. ;______;I'm curious, but do people really play random online that much more than online with friends?
Which is why the Wii U doesn't show hundreds of Miis when you turn it on.the reason is probably the many "make a dick-face mii" tutorials on youtube

It's just 9 characters. Probably even easier to balance than just 9 entirely new characters. Or online they could just make everyone the medium sized MiiBeyond every other match being a Hitler or Jesus or Vulva-faced Mii, I imagine it's impossibly hard to balance different sized hitboxes and speeds among three different types of character (swordfighter, pugilist, gunner) with a huge array of customizable movesets. I'll never use a Mii for that reason alone - I'll stick to set characters and moves.
So you will disable the custom moves for online friendlies? Then make it default to your NNID Mii which Nintendo is fully able to ban in the first place if you're in 'With Anyone' mode.the reason is probably the many "make a dick-face mii" tutorials on youtube

Call me a traditionalist. Unless they add purple skin and dragon wings and beaks to customize Miis, then I can imagine at least one Mii I'd use.

The largest Mii you can use is large, though.
Misinformation.
They are allowed, but only through friend-related matches.
By that logic, they also think FD is the one true stage. I guess in the end, we'll just have to wait until the game is out and judge for ourselves.I know that. But because they banned them from a big part of the game I feel like that they are more of a tool rather than a real fighter. I can see them not going over well even in matches with my friends locally, let alone tournaments. No way they have a chance there if Nintendo themselves thinks they should be banned from certain modes.
