From what I remember, Neuer actually returned the ball quicker than the Algerians could have done (he passed it back immediately). Even the German commentary said something like "Neuer, wanting to resume playing as fast as possible". There was no delay, not even for a few seconds. I guess he was just pissed about the goal itself.

Assuming Argentina and Belgium move on Netherlands has the easiest matchup by far. Costa Rica is absolutely dead after that game and they are the least talented team left.

yep, why? I'm not necesserily saying that they should think they shouldn't be favoured against these teams rather stuff like x team is shit, and we'll beat them 4-0

Usually bandwagoners that say shit like that as well.
 
I dont think I have seen a single Swiss game so no idea how they will do against Argentina. I just know that Argentina didn't exactly impress so far either.

What I have seen from Belgium makes me think that their defense might give the US some trouble.

I also enjoyed USA1994 a lot and Japan/Korea2002 (tho there were way too many reff mistakes in this one).

98 and 06 were my favourites but I suspect that is down to things outside the games in my life.

ok I understand what you're saying but this happens in sport/life all the time, its the nature of the beast, I guess some fans are more disrespectful than others.

No it's something Neuer always does. He never let's the opposing players get the ball after scoring a goal, you don't have to like it but there's no need to deny that he's 'wasting' time. Even if it's just for his team to regroup themselves.

Still, Neuer is the best goal keeper on the planet.
 
Don't know how many of you lot like your golf but the ryder cup thread should be a laugh this year, freedom v uefa - what could possibly go wrong!
