PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | July 2014

Just re-loaded Qforce on my Vita. It's definitely a matter of bad optimization and rushed release: the camera is completely messed up, as well as the control scheme. Also the framerate is definitely not optimized: I've noticed that it's not locked at 30 fps with dips, because in the hub, if you move up the camera until you can see only Ratchet's head, the game runs at 60 fps.

I don't think an ITN port would be bad, even with Tin Giant doing it.

The whole point of Pure/Survival is to make the player play all the game from start to finish.

If you don't want to play from start just play classic
I had no desire to play classic once I beat it. Pure is what you play to score attack, not classic. Pure is how you get a high score in classic.

This has probably already been asked and answered but if I buy a PS+ PS4 game through the web store, and I don't own a PS4, will the game show up in my download list down the road when I do buy a PS4?

Is Wizardry supposed to be on sale? It links to the demo from the sale but the main game page still shows it at $10.

It's been said a million times, but seriously...wtf with these pathetic sales?

Man, how bad last month was. No PlayStation Plus, unable to charge my Vita for a week and more, more stuff.

EU PSN has a small promotion for users in the UK, Australia, Italy, Spain and Germany.

I watched District 9 on the cinema and it wasn't good iirc. They could have done something like the spend X, get Y, like the US.

I should be studying, instead I'm hunting for info about obscure teams developing obscure ports....

What the actual fuck

So the game is canceled, right?

On the topic of TxK and OlliOlli. The former is a game developed by Jeff Minter who worked on previous Tempest games. The gameplay is refined at this point. OlliOlli is an absolute blast, but it sort of doesn't compare. This coming from someone who likes playing OlliOlli more (though that's also due in part to a Tony Hawk withdrawal).

Very, very negligible. Probably like two seconds from the first hour I played the game.
Curious what part had slight framerate issues.

So, I want to make sure Child of Light is 60fps before I get it on Vita. I wouldn't doubt it but there's no demo for reassurance and somebody in the other thread said it felt like 30fps. Not everybody is good with telling that stuff so I need to hear it from somebody who knows for sure.

It's almost as if Sony isn't obligated to give us sales every week and we've all become spoiled.

omg you're right. It's like I should just be grateful and blindly throw my money at Sony for giving us digital content at overblown prices during their summer sale. Maybe we should both send an email to Steam and tell them to stop spoiling gamers with their understanding of how to push and distribute digital content.

-_-

I never said you should be giving them your money "blindly". I just commented on the unreasonableness of expecting Sony to give us great sales every week, ESPECIALLY if you are under the impression that their recent sales have been disappointing. Let's be careful not to get riled up over things that were never even said.

Not sure if it's the right place to ask, but I have a problem where remote download from the SEN store website doesn't work for my Vita. I can remotely start a download for my PS4 from the website and I'm pretty sure it used to work for my Vita, but now when I start a Vita download from the website and look at my Vita, the game is never downloading. I have to go to the Vita's PS Store and start the download manually from my download list. It's not a big deal, but I liked the remote download convenience and can't figure out why it stopped working all of a sudden...

AFAIK remote download has never been instantaneous on the Vita. Are you giving it enough time to acknowledge the download queue?

I understand that 60fps are important for some genres like racing or twitch shooters, but for a turnbased RPG? ;)

What part is pathetic about these sales so far? A ton of relatively new games are 50%+ off and there's more incoming next week I think. Sure it could be better, I mean, it's no 14 for '14 Sale but we get good sales nearly every week.
