PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | July 2014

EDIT: ...and not I get an infinite loading in my browser when I try to remote-download something to the Vita, and nothing gets added to the download queue... Tried in both Chrome and Firefox... Aaand it works fine for PS4 games. I think my Vita is cursed.
Same thing happened to me. I ended up just going to download directly on the Vita. I'm sure the download queue worked before ...

Okay, so I have a copy of AC3L that I just can't seem to find any motivation to finish (only on chapter 3). Do I... Finish the game and then sell it? or Sell the game now and never look back? Is there anything worthwhile that I'm missing out on?

If I really wanted to I guess I could just play the HD version on PC or something.

Edit: Also picking up a used copy of LBP Vita later today. There's no network pass right?

Can't believe I waited so long to get Muramasa. Im going to end up buying this to support the developer.

Just played a little over an hour of Muramasa. Love the graphics and gameplay but I'm really hoping this game gets a little less repetitive at some point. The last area I went through seemed to go on forever.

It kinda stays pretty repetitive sadly. I was thinking about doing all the caves, but I couldn't stand running around any more.

When does the PSN usually update for Australia? I'm always confused as to whether it's Tuesday or Wednesday night.
I'm in Western Australia and i'm not too good with time conversions but content seems to pop up via search around 10PM AEST Wednesday night to around 2AM AEST on Thursday morning, it used to be earlier but I think the update time got changed awhile back. That's just a rough idea of it, I don't actually know the specific one anymore.

That's a good shopped tweet.

It's native res @60fps with very very occasional stutter when it's loading new parts of the level.

The sound breaks up occasionally at the start of battles as well.

Pretty decent port overall.

are you sure? doesn't feel like 60fps to me at all. especially compared to rayman legends.

I've been keeping a close watch for Phantom Breaker Battlegrounds Vita news, and from what I could gather from these tweets and Google Translate, it seems it will be shown at Anime Expo, at the Strangely Compelling Multimedia and 5pb./MAGES booth. Any Japanese readers can correct me if needed.

I tried my friends Vita Slim the other day. I was quite suprised at how light it felt compared to the original Vita despite how big of a handheld the Vita is. I'm still on team OLED but the extra battery life and it being a little more ideal for taking out and about (along with being able to use more than one account if I had two Vitas) may make me buy one eventually.
really? its a bad one, look at all those spaces and different font
I was talking about the tweets they used to shop in the steamsale joke, gave me a laugh. But yeah looking at it properly the photoshop itself is really badly done.

I would love muramasa if it wasn't for that damn fury mode. Only reason I didn't plat it, and my completion % goes down with every new DLC. I would love to master fury mode but the one hit kills are too frustrating for me.

Feels and looks like 60 to me. Apart from the occasional stuttering.

Could someone else with the game chime in? Maybe my framerate meter is busted.

I've just played legends and child of light back to back and some parts definately look like 30fps. It's hard to tell when u are walking but
once you start flying
it's more obvious

Unfortunately, there IS a network pass. Friggin annoying, considering it's Little Big Everyone Should Be Connected Planet
Okay, so that was an awkward transaction. Didn't pick up LBP, can get that brand new for not much more. Instead I got DOA5+ for 15. Please don't tell me that has a network pass too.

There’s definitely some performance issues with Child of light on Vita, but nothing major or game breaking.

It looks beautiful on the OLED and the control scheme is more than adequate.
I hope for some patch from Ubi regarding the overall performance through.

Guys, the photoshopped tweet uses a different font after the "a friend has told me".

It's obvious is edited. That doesn't make it any less funny xD
___

I've started playing Dragon's Crown. I think I like Muramasa more. The screen sometimes feels "too small", especially when there is a lot of shit happening on screen at once. There are times when I don't know where the hell my character is and I just press R to not get hit lol.

awww a new thread smell never gets old till we hit next month.

Im interested in Child of Light is a good Vita port? someone?

... Child of Light sounds like it should be a great addition to the VITA. Love being able to suspend / resume anywhere :)

You can disable NPCs from joining on the options (so only players can join you), or just block some of the party slots so you can have only one or two allies (NPC or players). It helps.
Most people on the OT recommend you to play solo, but I like to have some people with me so I can be lazy/make mistakes.

I bought it ages ago and played for about an hour and just got utterly bored. Why does this game get so much love here? Does it get better/deeper/interesting later on? It feels so shallow so far that I can't bring myself to go back to it.

Is the 3rd birthday worth picking up? Also grabbing Trails in the Sky. And everyone who haven't bought FFX yet needs to do so.

Blah what a boring sale. Everything I would want on there I have already bar Trails in the Sky because that is priced so ludicrously high. Guess I'd better grab it while it's normal PSP game price for once.

Might have to grab Sonic Racing as well since I missed it on Plus.

Will probably get
PS3:
R-Type Dimensions
Final Fight: Double Impact
Capcom Arcade Cabinet: All-in-One Pack
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD

PS Vita
Trails in the Sky
Parasite Eve: The Third Birthday
FF X/X-2
Front Mission 3
(Final Fantasy IV)

I was waiting for a Japan-themed sale. Will get TitS and P3P and maybe some FF games. Is Front Mission 3 worth picking up?
Too bad there are no Ys games on sale though :(
