The mention of a Saruria stage has me thinking. The 3DS version of Smash 4 will probably get a Star Fox 64 stage because of SF643D, but the last home console Star Fox game was Assault. I don't think we'll get a Sauria stage for that reason (Also because Adventures was developed by Rare, who are owned by M$, and Assault was developed by Namco, who are helping Sakurai with Smash 4). However, I'd love to see an Assault stage. I want to see Sargasso Space Zone the most. Assault Corneria would be cool too.

Fake, but I don't think the choices are too far-fetched. All those characters I think would make sense for DLC, not totally obscure, but not big enough they'd feel better as on-disc characters. All of them also have been featured in recent games too. I wouldn't be surprised if the actual DLC included some of these guys.

Not sure why he turned the Monado into a bent shotgun, though. Maybe Shulk got fed up with Sharla's AI or something.

I've played enough Assault multiplayer to know that, but the reason I don't think we'd get Sauria is because I don't think we'll get a stage that represents Adventures. Not only is Assault a lot more in line with the other Star Fox games, but it was developed by Namco.

I was watching the finals of this week's Smash: Xanadu on Youtube, and Chudat and Junebug was fighting. Junebug wins 2 straight to reset the bracket, and then wins another one to force Chudat into eliminations. In round 4, in the middle of the match, up one stock, Chudat proceeds to edge guard the stage for 5 straight minutes.
Mind you, Xanadu has specific rules for this, that you edge grabbing is limited to players below 50%, and Chudat started when his Kirby was at 80%. What proceeds is about 7 minutes of trash talking on Chudat, funny jokes, and 141 edge guard attempts. The penalty is that you lose the match unless you are able to take all stocks from the opposing player.

It was amazing to see a player completely throw a match on youtube like this, I can't imagine for people watching the stream live.

Wow, Shulk and Dunban sound totally different tonally in Japanese than I'd have imagined. Dunban in particular sounds a lot younger!

I apologize in advance for suggesting something that must have been brought up already, but has anyone raised the possibility of Ms. Pac-Man being an alternate of Pac-Man? It seems like a no-brainer to me: just add lipstick and a bow. Technically she should be a little faster since speed was the main change between the Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man games, but Sakurai could easily get away with making no play changes at all.
I was fairly indifferent to the Pac Man reveal until I realized we could get this music in the game.

Seems like a natural choice. The only thing I can see working against it is that Ms. Pac-Man is a completely different characters. Thus far, all the alts have been different "forms" of the same character (WarioWare Wario and Wario Land Wario, Little Mac and Wireframe Mac.) That's why I'm skeptical about, say, Lucina being a Chrom alt. But I think Ms. Pac-Man is somewhat less of a different character, if that makes sense. So I think she's more likely to be an alt for Pac-Man than Lucina is for Chrom, but I still wouldn't bet on it. She'll probably just get a trophy.

I like the idea of Baby Bowser from the above "leak." I always preferred him to the Mario Sunshine Bowser Jr alternative. I used to hope the Baby Mario bros would be in and play similarly to the ice climbers but a smaller faster Bowser-like character sounds hella dope

This is one of the few leaks that have made me legitimately laugh. The picks are so bad it hurts. The only one plausible from that is Lucas. (EDIT: oh forgot about Mewtwo)

I thought it was assumed that if we got alts, we'd get Ms. Pac-Man. I doubt she'd play too differently, but if we're getting 4-6 variations on the Villager and the 2 Wii Fit Trainers (The male WFT's half a head taller than the female WFT in Wii Fit itself), I don't see why they can't just add a bow to Pac-Man's model and make changes to the texture that could be done in, like, MS Paint.
Speaking of alts, I'm assuming tonight will show a new one, even if it isn't the focus like it has been the past few nights. My hopes are for Classic Sonic, but I honestly have no clue.

I think Ms. Pac-Man is a given. Sure, a different character, but she's such a huge part of Pac-Man's legacy that I'd be genuinely shocked if it didn't happen. Didn't her arcade have more success than Pac's own? I'm betting on "shoe-in" here.
Also, is anyone else annoyed that THE Pac-Man stage, based on the game every single person thinks of when thinking of Pac-Man, is seemingly 3DS exclusive, whereas the U version gets one based on Pac-Land, which is infinitely more obscure in comparison?
