Nintendo Downloads - July 2014

=/

Well, I'm just gonna turn StreetPass off. Not putting up for a charger for a 3DS that's not mine. Is there an easy way to toggle that?
Just switch off the wireless when you're not using the streetpass function. it's on the right side, beside the yellow wireless light.

O_o
I haven't seen a WiFi toggle since the OG PSP where your palm would always flip it.

Also, for a limited time if you're in the US, I'm sending a free Skor bar to any GAFer who 100%s the game. Here's the first happy recipient, ThatRandomCliff:

I'm not in the U.S. and I wouldn't eat a Skor bar, but I feel obliged to tell you I did 100% the game.

There are probably like 2 people on gaf beyond me who cares about this but ....

Comic Workshop is coming July 17 !!!!
And it will be 8 bucks only ! =D

I never finished the first or second one so I haven't picked up the third yet. I loved the concept but the difficulty curve is a bit steep and I can't be bothered to grind when I have so many other games to play. I guess a F2P entry might get me to download, but if it's full of terrible microtransactions I'll just see it as the death of the series.

Just turn the WiFi off. You'll notice that even when you close the lid, the light on the right side is still blinking if WiFi is on. That's the 3DS doing a discovery ping for other 3DSes (iirc, I've heard that it's doing a ping like every 60 seconds)

I already bought $20 just for this App.

So uhm AC IV is on a summer sale in the eShop.
Should I buy it? is it good?
Could someone please give me some opinions?
Thanks!

There's a small mistake in the list: Bombing Bastards is listed in the 3DS section. It is actually a Wii U game.

Disclosure: I am the developer.

By the way, we are also trying to get the game on Steam, you are welcome to vote for it on Steam Greenlight if you like it:
http://greenlight.bombing-bastards.com
We will offer 100 free keys when it's out.

Cheers.

Please tell me that name is being kept for Europe. Also anything else about the game you'd like to share, I heard it's inspired by Bomberman?

Something feels really off about how much battery the 3DS has. Is it's sleep mode not practically infinite like the Vita? It's like an hour or two of gameplay is disappearing between when I go to sleep and when I pick it up the next day.
Its sleep mode is closer to a vita with near and other crap enabled. Thing is even then Vita would only check those periodically, streetpass is constant.

Even if you turn off wireless sleep mode life won't be more than a week because the processor is still ticking over for things like the pedometer.

I don't want to link my NNID, lose download rights to Snapdots and have awkward streetpasses...

But if it coming out means Denpa Men 3 sale...I think I'll be happy to close the curtain then.

Wow, I was thinking about this series yesterday when I was checking out the demo for 3. F2P is not what I expected, though. A WiiU title was far more likely in my eyes.

Doesn't it really need to be on handheld, though? I have only played a demo of the first one, but I gather the main method of getting Denpa Men was finding new wifi points around town.

Hm, I only played the first one, but there were always new Denpa Men showing up in my home wi-fi. It's not like you need to catch 500 of them, just enough to fill your party and have some with the right colour/antenna in reserve. Also, the Gamepad has a camera, so while awkward, it could work the same way, or they could just change that part, make it a "share you Denpa Men online" sort of deal.

Honestly the best scenario, imo, would have been to just give this series a rest for a while.

Ah, you get more than one on your own wifi. I seeee.

I figured it probably generated a single unique Denpa Man per wifi point, based on SSID and MAC or something. Then people could be like "Oh hey, that McDonalds in Oxford St gives an amazing red Denpa!".

Actually, the fact it doesn't work that way makes me less interested in the series.

I think it does this actually (but maybe it more than one unique from the data). Signal strength might be used as an additional factor.

If a Denpa man dies and you don't throw in the offerings to revive him you will have to go back to the access point you found them at to re-catch them.

:(

You should check it out, though, it's still a neat RPG/Dungeon Crawler. You're too much of an outdoor gamer, Robin! :p

(Also, if you're picking & choosing the stronger DM and passing on the vanilla ones, then you definitely will benefit from going outside and browsing different wi-fi points!)

Should have been spread out

Can't all get attention

Also is Internal Invasion one of the few games not to land at the full dollar mark? ONly 4.50
It is a double edged sword. You want these games to all come out but at the same time having them spread out would get them more attention.

Funny thing is the devs choose their release date for the eshop once they have passed cert.

Even with all these game hitting at once I am still willing to bet the good ones will do well, and by being on the eshop they will all eventually get exposure in the rotations on the front page and with out all of the other clutter and competition of other shops.

I play Denpa in a pretty strange way. Every time I complete a dungeon I don't start the next until I have an all new team from a new location. This means I still haven't started the 2nd game or bought the 3rd but I do have cool Denpa Men from all over the place now.

I don't want to link my NNID, lose download rights to Snapdots and have awkward streetpasses...

But if it coming out means Denpa Men 3 sale...I think I'll be happy to close the curtain then.

I knew they'd get you eventually!

Cool, tomodachi life demo. Never managed to hook one from the code thread, so I'm interested in that for sure.

I played the first one from PS+ or something. It was like anti-fun for me. I played for 10 minutes. Why do people like it?

For puzzle i guess.

I think the second one is better, much better. Puzzle are genious and some are hard.
If someone know a puzzle game as good as Toki Tori 2 tell me which one.
