No end in sight with the awesome Indie releases, and this thread is a way of helping everyone to wade through the lesser known games or even share opinions on the heavy hitters. Last month it was a rather close call with the votings, where many of us didnt find the time to try and post impressions on as many games as usual. If you read this, random thread lurker, a single vote on a game could have made the difference between being in our voting or not. Other than that, last months thread saw a nice rise in activity overall, but we should neglect the voting or I'll just recommend whatever I want

| 3.5 Quick Note about Formatting |
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you want to suggest a game that has recently released or that looks interesting, but hasnt released yet, please follow the following formatting structure so the post is picked up by Toma-Bot:
Released games:
Not yet released games:
If the game is free, then put "Free" as the price, otherwise please use $ or € for the price. You can also include more than one game per post (like the Screenshot saturday posts), but please stick to the above format for every entry.
If someone posts a non-proper formatted post, I'd appreciate if you could repost the game with the same info in the proper format.
Hey! I assume you are new in this thread series and want to see what we were up to? Or you didnt have enough time to play through all of the games from the last month but still want to catch up with the best ones? Then this list is for YOU! These were the games we enjoyed the most in the previous thread, voted on by the community (More thorough descriptions and impressions in the previous thread, especially the last few pages with the voting):
I noticed there are a few noteworthy, and relatively unknown, projects that deserve a shoutout here because I feel that they share a common interest with the people in this thread. I talked to the guy from Pixabyte and MetaVendetta and both are very enthusiastic about the things they love and figured you might appreciate the shoutout as well. If you enjoy anything here or want to give feedback, let these guys know via their websites or also here in this thread. If you appreciate something, let people know. A heads up can sometimes very valuable.
This is a monthly podcast series that presents notable Indie Game soundtracks. A likeable host and guests, a fantastic track selection, interesting discussions and a focus for Indies will make this one a mainstay in my monthly threads.
My very own, highly amateur game impressions YT channel. Its a bit of self-pimping, but since I only make videos for games of this thread, I think it might as well be included here.
Copy the appropriate content and add the proper information for the black writing. Please only include 1 link and 1 image. I tried making it a bit failsafe, so it should be able to deal with 2 links or images as well, but 1 is safer.TITLE - PLAT
1. Epic Flail - Free alpha (Browser)
![]()
http://www.spacenoize.com/EpicFlail/
Very simple highscore game and surprisingly fun. You only one move which you need to use to outmaneuver enemies: Dashing. With increasing difficulty, you also collect the equipment of enemies, which doubles as your armor/increased health. Beauty in sublime simplicity, everyone should try it.
2. Jet Force - $2,99 (currently 50% off) (PC)
![]()
http://www.desura.com/games/jet-force
Its a retro inspired run&gun shooter with varied enemy designs, interesting boss battles, a decent amount of challenge without being overly punishing, VERY good movement "physics", which are emphasized with the games jet mechanic and an interesting & frantic power up system.
2. You Have to Win the Game - Free (PC, Mac, Linux)
![]()
http://www.piratehearts.com/blog/games/you-have-to-win-the-game/
Fun! A little bit of tricky platforming, a lot of exploring without any directions, a mysterious castle, devious traps, tight controls and some metroidvania style level exploration. Lovely, little game that you guys definitely should check out.
2. 400 Years - Free (Browser)
![]()
http://gamejolt.com/games/platformer/400-years/12797/
A calamity is coming and you embark on a journey to stop it. You only have 400 years.This is an experimental game about the passage of time. Don't expect swift action. Slow down and think, just don't wait too long...
2. Shütshimi - Free Demo/ $1 (PC, Mac, Linux, X360)
![]()
http://shutshimi.com/
Bucketload of weirdass random(ized) shmup fun. The different powerups, their weird descriptions and the quickfire levels come together really nicely for this rather interesting little title.
2. Kitsuni - Free (Browser)
![]()
http://www.seconddimension.co.uk/games/Kitsuni/index.html
A puzzle adventure game of sorts in which you are tasked with collecting gems to solve a mystery. Some puzzles are a bit obtuse, while others are painfully obvious, but its still an intriguing affair overall, even if most of my enjoyment derived from looking at the pretty art style. Worth checking out in any case, even if a bit simplistic.
