guys I bought a vita on a whim last week because i'm starting a new job which requires an hour plus commute by train. I thought it would mostly be a companion piece to my ps4 but i've probably already surpassed my hours played on ps4 with the vita and i've had it for significantly less time. I don't know what it is about this thing but i'm in love with it. I always thought the praise it got on these boards were just people trying to justify purchasing a "dying console" but this thing is no joke!
I'm only 16 or so hours into persona 4 so i've got a lot of that ahead of me plus a ton of other rpg's for the ps1/psp. I think i'll have this thing for a long time. Anyway I don't think there is much of a point to this post other than to share my love of the vita. I'm looking forward to spending more time on this thread in the future!
Welcome to Vita Gaf

! This is a great community filled with nice people and lots of great recommendations

.
Speaking of recommendations, some games I would strongly recommend include the following:
- Tearaway: Wonderful 3D Platformer that fully uses the Vita in every possible way

. My GOTY last year

.
- Gravity Rush: You might own this already thanks to PS+ but if you don't yet, the game is a fun super hero game where you can control gravity (the controls for this are really good once you get used to them). Between the games Cell-Shaded look and really likeable cast, you will really enjoy this game if you give it a shot

.
- Killzone Mercenary: If you like FPS tittles, then this is a must own for any Vita owner; amazing visuals on pair with Killzone 2, great multiplayer, stable performance and tons of replay value.
- Sonic Racing Transformed: Like Gravity Rush, you may own this already (thanks to PS+) but if you don't, it is a very solid kart racer that has a lot of new mechanics that really make it different from Mario Kart. You can physically transform your car into a plane and boat and the dyanmically change the way you play races. That plus great production values, tight controls (more-or-less stable 30FPS on most tracks), amazing soundtrack and lots of Sega love, you are in for a great kart racer

.
- Persona 3 Portable (PSP): Again, I think you may own this (you mention you have a lot of PS1 and PSP RPG's) but if you don't, you will love this

. It is more or less a lot like Persona 4 in terms of core gameplay and structure but the story and presentation make it stand out on its own from Persona 4. Great soundtrack and darker story really make this an even better package (and the best part is that if you are part of EU PSN, you can get this at a discounted price right know

).
- Daxter (PSP): Do you like Jak 1? This is essentially more of that but with some mechanics from Jak 2 thrown in. You play as Daxter with gameplay very similar to the original Jak (the environments and music are in vane of the original Jak and Daxter with level designs feeling like a mix of Jak 1 and Crash). I had a blast playing this, so I highly recommend it

.
Hope this helps
