If FIFA.com's quote of the team doctor is accurate, then Neymar sustained an L3 TP fracture ("ominous" says the FIFA article, LMAO). A TP fracture is not ominous. Vast majority heal without any operations or even spine immobilization like braces. I doubt the spinal cord is even in danger. But sending someone in immense pain from bone injury to play? Incredibly stupid IMO.
