I'm not sure if you can use Paypal, but maybe you can add the $7 to your Steam Wallet? And then you can pay the difference with your card
 
So saving bros just switches your current bro? Is there any other reason why you would save them if your happy with your current bro? Hate getting stuck with brade or something. No way to swap in the middle of the game? When you die and respawn as a new bro, is this randomly chosen?

Picked this up during the flash sale yesterday. Glad to hear people like it more than mercenary kings. Tried to get into it on the ps4 but something just felt off about the gameplay in that one

1) Rescuing bros gives you lives. Sure, you could stick with one, but you can only take one shot and then mission failed
2) Have you played Super Crate Box? That game has a similar mechanic where you get random weapons from crates. In Broforce, the random bros is provides gameplay variety, forcing you to adapt to the new bro and approach enemies and fights differently. I could see how that might turn people off, but personally I enjoy it, and it keeps you on your toes
 
played about 2 hours, this is fun! :D
tried a bit of online play, i can see this getting real good with a good party
 
This game is amazing and the best game I've played/bought in months if not in 2014.


But how the hell are they not going to get sued??

Ripley's already in the game. Cherry (Planet Terror, girl with the rocket gun leg) was in for a brief moment, but was removed because the devs had made a mistake.

So yes, expect action movie heroines as well. I'm hoping we get The Bride and Alice

I asked Devolver on Twitter once, their answer was "parody"
Since the Bros are parodies of the characters, it's okay
 
I kind of wish you chose which bro you used (and didn't randomly switch) and each had a separate campaign/ or weapon to unlock, like 1001 spikes. That way you would be challenged to actually play whole levels as certain difficult bros. As it is now, once you beat the whole campaign and unlock the bros, there's not much impetus. It's fun to play but I want to be constantly unlocking new stuff.

fwiw, I asked my brother whose an entertainment/copyright/ip lawyer and he said parody doesn't shield them. Especially when likenesses are this close.

I love the game, but I really think the only reason it still exists is that it's small and flying under the radar right now. If this thing his psn and stuff, I'm pretty sure they're getting sued and will have to pull the game or make all the characters more generic (aka, keep the moves, change the sprites)

Considering this was shown on-stage during Sony's E3 conference, it's not exactly flying under the radar

Hm, you can suicide with Rambro's grenades but not MacBrover's dynamite, I hope Broddock's grenades aren't consistent with that.

You can only die by your special skill aka MacBrover's turkey bomb can kill himself while his regular dynamite doesn't. Same goes for Rambro and everyone else with an exploding special skill.
 
I see this game regularly on streams and I might get interested. Is it fun but mostly accessible?

I hated Rogue Legacy
 
It looks great, but once you've unlocked all the bros (which doesn't take long), the fun went out of it for me. It needs shitloads of more unlockables (bros, weapons, stuff) to keep the pace and interest up IMO.
 
I just bought this yesterday and I'm loving it. The level editor is fun as hell and I've already made the first level of my custom campaign.

I'm sure you guys can guess what game I've bromade.

I really want a mode where you have to get through a level with a single bro. That's when this game really shines.
 
Picked this up on the Steam Summer Sale..

It's definitely a lot of fun, but finding it repetitive after the first few levels...Still fun though, all the characters play differently, and progressively more challenging levels.

For 10-15 bucks it's a good game.
 
So I think I finished the campaign. No real ending unless I missed something.

Are they planning on extending the campaign at all or is the focus just on the other modes and new characters at this point?

I absolutely loved the game but honestly found it to be shorter then I expected. Knowing its early acces I'm hoping its gonna get a lot larger still?
 
Played some co-op with some buddies today. T'was ridiculous and awesome, but man you can really put yourself into a corner if you blow up too much of the environment

Don't know what his special could be though. Tequila slammer that, once drunk, makes shots miss him for a while, or a carrying a baby which has the same effect?
 
Well seeing this was on offer in various places this weekend I took the plunge and how flipping mental is Broforce! Stages are a bit on the short side but real lends itself to some quick fire bro-op antics. Though one tip don't try and play it drunk with a couple of mates. A painful experience would be the best description, and that was just figuring out the controller situation.

Hahaha I'd imagine diving though the air, in slow motion, gun in each hand, and doves flying out of his arse. Probably end up being a screen clear type of special.

'Hard Broiled'. Dual pistols, shoots left and right simultaneously when standing still. Special releases doves and executes a slow motion dive during which Tequila auto targets nearby enemies until he hits the ground.
 
Love this game, but what are some tips for using the trickier bros? Like who is the fembro who shoots out her ass? And blade, and neo. Also did they nerf ripley? She seems kinda weak now.
