I love the Kanye cycle. GAF past time.

I remember when Yeezus came out and everyone was so hyped, then they realized it was shit.
Yeah, I was hyped as hell. Kinda shitty after a week or two of listening to it. Wasn't really a big fan of Nothing Was the Same either, though.

it's been 10 years since College Droupout and it is one of the most fondly remembered debut records.

Sorry, you're wrong.

Yeah, Ye has lost his damn mind, but his impact on the rap world is undeniable. Dropout is widely regarded as a classic and critics loved them some MBDTF.

He got booed twice in London not Birmingham though.

God damn my reading comprehension.

I'd have more respect for Kanye if I he could actually rap. But he uses (admittedly incredible) production skills to overcompensate for the fact that his rhymes are trite and mediocre (at best).

Drake is ass too.

That article was a bit repetitive, yeah? But referring to him as Kim Kardashian's husband is amusing, I approve.

Kanye is a fucking tool, honestly. Yeezus was literally a slice of shit in a CD case with a sticker on it.

He's tried to make himself to be something which he aint and the 'we want Drake' chanting was obviously done to piss him off and get him to rant. Which he just had to do.

I know some people who went to wireless. Kanye was such a trainwreck.
HOW SO?
That looks like a fucking awesome show. Was that the only hype moment?

I am wondering if you posted that as a joke. They were mashing it up. Sounded and looked awesome. I am a big Kanye apologizer.

This thread is weird.

I really don't think that's at all accurate. It was a slight departure. I have to be in the right mood (which I am now) to get into Yeezus in full, but it's only because some of the tracks really sound like something is messed up with my stereo or headphones. The distortion on On Sight is a little much, but the album is wonderful, in my opinion.

I agree. People shit on Drake too much too. Yeezus was a garbage album. Certainly one of his best production wise, lyrically just awful. Especially disappointing considering how great MBDTF was.

Kanye West had one good album. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Let the truth set you free.

MBDTF was an overproduced mess and one of the least of his albums
there it is

In 20 years, Kim Kardashian's ex-husband will be long forgotten. Although, he might get a mention on I Love the 2010s on VH1.

even if he didnt have at least one classic of his own, he's produced some of the most influential albums in hip hop to date

GAF prolly can't handle a truth bomb of that magnitude

And even though it wasn't his best album it still shattered end of year charts that year.

Ye needs 2 or 3 more great albums and he'll be a legend on the level of The Beatles.

I'd love to wield as much power as an extremely fringe minority do when it suits tabloid newspapers. Probably less than 1% of the crowd didn't enjoy the show, and suddenly the entire crowd is against him?

I would use that disproportionate representation for such evil - the headlines would read "everyone in Britain now dislikes Russell Howard, so we've fired him from everything", and it would all be because of me.

I doubt this very much considering Kanye is by far the most important hip hop artist and possibly the most important musician of the last decade.

Is Kanye actually important or do we just think that because he keeps telling us how important he is?

You probably had to Yahoo google first with how far behind you are.

I don't understand what's so problematic about his statement. I only know Kanye West because he is used in some gifs here and Drake is the guy in the wheelchair everybody is laughing at (no idea what is so funny about a guy in the wheelchair) but aside from that I just know they make rap and are black.

MTV is dead and if you are out of school there is a high chance that you have no fucking idea about the current pop trends unless you search for them specifically.

☦Yeezus☦ is a masterwork of not just music, but humanities intellect. The apex of our current generation, and will be a beacon of inspiration of eons to come.

In the year 3000, when humanity has evolved into a higher-being, everyone will merge to form the ✞Godhead Yeezus Khrist ✞.

His most supreme and superior being the ✞Godhead Yeezus Khrist✞will venture through the universe, giving away signed copies ☦Yeezus☦.

This will venture in a new era, and bring all forms of life in the universe together. No more war, famine, death and destruction.

Every being in the universe will merge into one, and it will form the new, and infinitely superior being the ☥Godhead Yeezus Khrist II☥

His most divine and flawless being the ☥Godhead Yeezus Khrist II☥ will celebrate this monumental moment with the release of ☩Yeezus II☩.

A pleb such as myself can only wish to witness such glory. May he also absorb my soul in the eons to come, to I can witness the divinity.

I was just joking around with him. If anything, it makes me delighted to know that there are people who don't know who Kanye is. I envy them.
