Propeller Knight assist trophy

Calls bombing runs with cannonballs and lunges at the opponent with the rapier. Attacks can be avoided by hitting him right before he lunges. If the foe is close to a ledge, he might try to blow them back ala Dreamland.

yeah it seems to me that she might be character that relies a lot on spacing (kinda like megaman) but can also be an annoyance on the field as a whole (heavenly light seems like it could be super annoying but i get the feeling that u are locked in place when u use it and has a lot of recovery) i feel like super speed/and light weight are basically are get out of there fast moves which gives her options against characters that keep raining down the attack pressure)
Hmmm...I really like the idea of her being a spacing character; fits her goddess, away from the battlefield approach. Hope this pans out.

Well she is a Goddess after all so it makes sense for her to be all powerful.
Yeah, from what they've shown, she really feels powerful like a freakin' goddess should. Hopefully Rosalina isn't jealous.
Seriously Rosalina, get a better Final Smash.

FINALLY! A Palutena update! I wonder why it took so long.

That up smash has crazy reach, though the fact that those hit by it don't flinch makes me think it's not OP.

Really, calling anyone OP or assigning tiers before the games are out is just the dumbest thing.

I've been dealing with Pikachu's thunderbolt for about 15 years now. This attack should be no problem. :p

That said, that move can be spammable for edge guarding lol.

I believe the non-flinching move and the up smash are two different moves, but you're still right about the OP thing. Can't really know what's OP until we get our hands on the game.

I think the up-smash causes flinching but the special attack does not, unless I'm not understanding correctly.

I agree it's too early to deem anyone overpowered, though.

Up-smash, not up-tilt.

Please, I don't want to entertain the thought of that move being a tilt. It'd be like Snake 2.0 lol.

i think the up smash causes slight flinching as well since we kind saw dk flinch when hit by it in her trailer (by how much though is interesting also i have this feeling that the hit box on it might not be as big (vertically anyway) and can easily be rolled away from

I hope Sakurai reveals like Metaknight at Evo to show that he is stronger.

*screen flashes to smash logo then character is shown*

Metaknight : I've ascended to a whole new level! *summons multiple tornados*

*everyones jaws begin to drop at the reveal*

Shovel Knight would be so sick

why can't he be a Nintendo character :-(

  • Up-B: Propeller Dagger
  • Down-B: Dig up jewels and food.
  • Down-B in air: Shovel drop
  • Side-B: Dust Knuckles
  • Neutral B: Mobile Gear
  • Final Smash: Friends Reunited (
Attacks alongside Black Knight and Shield Knight Kat and Anna style, with the three posing at the end
    )

B - War Horn - Like Falcon Punch, a really powerful move with a long startup. Unlike Falcon Punch, it's an area of effect attack that hits all around.

Up B - Throwing Anchor - He throws an anchor in an arc.

Down B - Phase Locket - Shovel Knight becomes invulnerable for three seconds. Takes about a minute to recharge after you use it.

Side B - Mobile Gear - A projectile that rides along the ground. If you hold B, Shovel Knight will hop on. If you're in the air, this means you get your jump and double jump back - but it can only be done once in the air, of course.

A - A basic thrust of the shovel.

AAA - Repeated thrusts with the shovel.

Running A - Shovel Knight thrusts his shovel into the ground and plows through the opponent. This attack hits multiple times.

Forward Tilt - Shovel Knight slashes his shovel like his charge attack.

Down Tilt - Shovel Knight smacks his shovel against the ground, causing a spark.

Up Tilt - Shovel Knight thrusts his shovel upwards, like in his victory pose.

Forward Smash - Shovel Knight digs up a gem. The longer you charge, the bigger the gem, the more damage it does.

Down Smash - Basically Villager's down Smash. He digs left and right and buries opponents in the ground.

Up Smash - Shovel Knight twirls his shovel above him, hitting multiple times.

Neutral Air - A basic thrust, much like his standing A.

Forward Air - An overhead swing with both hands. Spikes.

Down Air - Shovel drop. Works much like Link's down thrust.

Up Air - An upwards thrust.

Back Air - Shovel Knight spins around and swings his shovel behind him.

I've spent too much time thinking about this. It just makes me sad that it won't happen. :(

Personally I'd prefer Mother 1 Giegue over Porky.

I think Mother 1's Giegue should be used as a Boss Hazard on an earthbound/mother stage, and as an assist trophy I would personally like The Kraken or Fassad.

I hope earthbound/mother gets more love in this version of smash :(

Wow what a Smash attack! At first I immediately thought it would be something that would get abused like crazy. But then I was reminded of Snake's extremely vertical up Smash. His isn't in one big piece but that move certainly didn't break Snake for me, it was all his too good to be true tilts that had the power of a thousand Bowser Bombs!

How does Villager's up smash go? It looks like a rip of Snakes if you ask me.

In hindsight, metakinght was technically nerfed somewhat in his brawl appearance lol. No full screen mach tornado and sword beams.

But can he reflect projectiles?

Today's Update

Pic of the day. I talked about an attack with a far reach in yesterday's post, but it didn't compare to Palutena's up smash attack! No joke, it reaches really far. It reached so far in this shot that even the rocketbarrels got blown up.

zlCfzSI6_cwBs1qx8M

That said, if we're talking just about range, even that can't beat Palutena's power, Heavenly Light. It has quite a damage field. However, this is a no-flinch attack, which means the opponents won't react to the damage!

zlCfzSI6_x0LkGigzT

The uberest.

Palutena seems like a character who is better suited in a FFA setting rather than a 1v1 sort of deal. Course time will tell as we find out more about her.

Except that it has been wrong before.
He never mentioned Rosalina.
The fuck kind of logic is this. Leakers don't always have every single detail, and even if they do, they're not obliged to disclose everything. If he had specifically said that Rosalina wouldn't be in, or if he claimed to know the full roster without Rosalina in it, then he would've been wrong.
The first post said we'd get 6 newcomers at E3 2013. We got 3. Little Mac later in a Direct and the remaining 2 in this year's E3. People seem to like to ignore this fact, but it is there.
The original post by Sal Romano only said "My unlikely predictions". You've got to remember that there are actually two guys here: Sal, who is the one relaying the information to us, and some unknown inside guy that Sal is getting the information from. It's entirely possible that Sal only knew partial information at that point, and was just predicting based on what he knew. In any case, all of those characters have since been confirmed, so really not a good reason to throw the leak into suspicion.
The second post said "Pokemon from X/Y", but that statement is so ambiguous and I don't believe that it was because of Greninja's development history - if he supposedly can pinpoint Chorus Men, why not Greninja?
It's exactly why you just said - it's because of Greninja's development history. If you don't want to believe it then it's on you.
Also, do we know for sure he said "Mii Fighter", as a single name, with a capitalized F? Because to me, it seems easy to mistake that with "We're gonna get a Mii fighter", since well, all the characters in this game are fighters. What if he was referring to it like "a fighter from a series"?
Does this really make any difference? He said Miis would be in the game, and they are. That's +1 point to validity.
The remaining characters (Palutena, Chrom, Shulk) are pretty safe guesses, too, so even these characters being confirmed wouldn't mean to me that the rumor is legit.
Lol, in what universe is Shulk a safe guess? There was even a guy so confident that he had no chance that he offered to suck people's dicks.

At the end of the day, there's much, much more evidence supporting Sal's legitimacy than against it. You don't just get 8 characters right without being wrong a single time by educated guessing or whatever.

His body is ready.

post verbally shitting on me

Sure, go believe your Gematsu Bible if you want to. That's perfectly fine with me. All I am opposing is 2 things:
a) Constantly treating the Gematsu leak(s) as if the content was already 100% officially confirmed and
b) Spreading misinformation to other people based on that rumor, essentially saying it's 100% officially confirmed.

That's literally all I'm trying to relay. Take it with a grain of salt. Don't take it for granted and don't repeat your beliefs to others as if they were true.

Beelzebufo was being a smartass and said that there's 0% chance of the leak being wrong, so I stated which details it got wrong, and which details were ambiguous. Again, the very first leak post that was made (E3 showing Mega Man, Trainer, Mac, Villager, Pac-Man and Mii) was legit, even though the scheduling apparently was changed. However, that leak was, technically speaking, wrong. You can make up excuses for why it isn't wrong, but whatever excuse you make, it's still wrong. And believe me, I was one of the biggest vouchers for the leak back when it first appeared.

Also, come the fuck on. "Pokemon from X/Y" is not a confirmed character guess. If that person knew what characters supposedly were going to be shown at E3 2013 but not later on, then how the fuck would he know about Greninja's development process? And if he knew about the development process, then why didn't he tell us about more characters (including the omitted Rosalina)?

Palutena, Chrom, Mii and "Pokemon from X/Y" are the safest character guesses one can make. And Shulk is a character from one of the very few new Nintendo IPs that were released between Brawl and now. It's also a safe guess to assume there's some Xenoblade involvement.

I will believe the "leak" when Chorus Men are confirmed. Until then it's just a rumor. And you should treat it as such.

Palutena still looks too wishy-washy to me. Goddess or not, I don't like her gimmick since it doesn't exactly look like there's a lot of balance in it, and her moves look a bit too ridiculous for my tastes.

I hope her Up Smash leaves her with Lucas-tier punishable properties.

No one left to punish if everyone is dead.

I am not giving the 100% label to that leak yet.

And I do not think there is anything wrong with questioning it, or refuting it. Maybe if it predicted some veteran returns I would give it more credibility. However, I will admit not all those predictions are safe, if those were random guesses then some of them were pretty ballsy.

Anyway, I think it has been pretty accurate thus far, but we'll see what happens from here.

There's always a catch.

Unless you are Meta Knight.

Her up Smash being a Pikachu down B variant is hardly OP. Too soon to tell whether she is or not, though.

Pokemon from X/Y makes sense because we've determined that the leak was from early on in development
Yes, with a capital F
Rosalina being in and not mentioned just means that there might be newcomers outside of the leak, doesnt disprove the leaks

My bro got a Wii U, I must say people really exaggerated the "gamepad is uncomfortable!"

Honestly felt as a legit controller. Maybe the tablet shape made people perceive it as a tablet and thus made it feel uncomfortable for them?

I agree it's a great controller. Still it's definitely not the controller for a fighting game you'll play for hundreds of hours.
