He also has no ledge grab.

Falco's a more important character to Star Fox than Wolf is, and has been in Smash longer. If either of them is cut, it's Wolf first (not that I expect him to be cut).

Excellent, last year they dropped the ball on playable titles coming off E3 (No DK, Mario Kart or 3D world? all of my disappointment) so this is a pleasant surprise.

In the past they did, but they'd already have series icons because the characters have already been in the series before?
I dunno, it's still stupid to think they're not coming back. They're franchise mascots, they've got content related to them in the new game, they're some of Nintendo's most recognizable characters.

Not-so-stealth-edit: not that I believe he will be, tbh. It would be pretty silly to axe a character that already exists and is unique, sans porting their move set to another character. That and Ike sets precedent that Brawl-troduced characters are likely "safe."
