You can't do a 1 second test for a concussion. It looked like he completely blacked out. It's almost certainly some level of brain trauma occurred another hit to the head could cause permanent damage.

you do realize when it comes to concussions and other head injuries you cannot see the effects outside most of the time.

Hell, working in the sporting industry for a few years I saw these injuries first hand a lot of the times.

A good friend of mine who is a cyclist cant balance himself properly after a crash he had in a race. There were no cuts, no obvious bruises or anything. He got back up and finished the race. A week later all the symptoms started.
