Up and until Brazil the German team played pretty unspectacular .
Every goal against Brazil came directly from shitty defence, now look at both teams today .
Their defence was so good that the offence on both teams was neutralized, even god tier players like Messi and Robben where invisible and defender Vlaar probably the man of the match .
If you really think Germany will run over Argentina like they did with Brazil you know nothing about football or are high on freaking krokodil .

Why the hell do they play for third place ?
I know already that a team like Holland will let all the subs play and are not really interested .

No one expects another 7:1.

But Germany knows how to control a match, combine it with a competent offensive and they are the big favourite for the final.

Considering the low expectations beforehand I can I'm really proud of what our team still managed to accomplish. It was truly a team and so many players had crucial roles. Depay, Fer, Robben, Van Persie, Krul, Kuyt, Sneijder, Blind, Vlaar, Huntelaar and De Jong all had their moments. It was definitely not the best squad The Netherlands ever had, but LvG did a great job with what was handed to him. We simply weren't good enough.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of team we'll have in four years, though.

He's a player that always struggles in the Dutch squad because he barely gets any passes that works for him. That, and he is a very lazy player without any agressiveness in his playstyle. The fact that he lost every ball when fighting for it proves that.

Germany seems like the obvious winners in the finals. They had the harder path, and showed off their skill. They deserve it, and it's no wonder everyone thinks they'll win. And yet, I can't help but root for Argentina. I don't care for either team, but when it comes down to things like this I'm always with the underdogs. If Germany wins I won't be mad, but it'll be much more fun for me if Argentina wins.

Either way, give me a good finals match. Can't wait.

God knows what the fuck the Dutch were doing at the penalty shootout having the defender shoot first, and it was clear as day when he stepped up the Sneijder was going to fluff it. Dude looked like he was the proverbial rabbit in the headlights coming onto the pressure shot, and ideally they should of saved a substitute spot for the other keeper, as that guy had no fear.

Personally through the Dutch dominated the game in terms of possession and the Argentinians didn't really have much of a response either in mid-field or upfront, but neither side really seized the bull by the horns in terms of creating goal scoring chances. Kuyt despite being on the wing kept backtracking whenever he got possession versus trying to break down the wing was super frustrating to watch.

Based on the Argentinian performance tonight though I'm not sure Germany have much to worry about come Sunday.
