That post only says that the only difference between MMX Zero and MMZ Zero is in the artstyle, not that he's a Mega Man.
Exactly.
So they're the same, which is to say they're both Mega Man Zero.

It literally couldn't be more straightforward.

You just being you will get it done in no time, much like it did before.
I don't know what you mean. Last time I went to far, which I would never do again. Just like our good friend Ash hasn't.

But he's the one who put the character in the game. It could easily be a redesign of the Megaman zero character. Either way, the character in the game is explicitly stated to be Mega Man Zero, no matter what kind of excuses you want to make.

It's like arguing that the character in Smash Bros isn't actually called Mr. game and watch because Sakurai didn't invent him lol

lol oh god what have i started...

Anyways going by the above logic.. if Ryu from MVC3 was in the game but was called MegaMan Ryu, would he also be a considered megaman? cause you know game creator Niitsuma added him in and explicitly named him Megaman Ryu for w.e reasons, even though he wasn't the original creator of Ryu/Street fighter? Or better example... adding Ken Masters to the game and calling him Ryu Ken, would he still be consider a Ryu?
or still just be a crappy shoto clone

Ehh... It's a little different. Plus we've learned since
that they're the same.

All right I'll bite. Here's one!

...how in any way did I support your argument that Zero series Zero is anything but Zero? In that entire post, there wasn't a single time where I mentioned anything regarding that mess and I intentionally made sure to stay away from that.

What's more, I even mentioned in a later post the reason for anyone getting that mixed up in the first place:

The use of the title "Megaman Zero" was to A.) suggest that it was a sequel series to the overall "Megaman" franchise (coming in after Megaman and Megaman X) and B.) focus on the character of Zero who was promoted from extremely popular side kick in the Megaman X series to the main character of his own four game long series.

The confusion (though it shouldn't really be, it's not that hard to keep track of) comes with the introduction of the EXE/Battle Network series which takes place in a second concurrent continuity where the robotics slant of the Megaman/X/Zero/ZX/Legends lineage is replaced by a "software" angle wherein Megaman and other famous robots are reimagined as data programs to help mankind in a massively interconnected and always online world.

Holy shit did I seriously just post this much about the franchise at the drop of a hat... :lol

You are just about the biggest trip I have ever seen on GAF in my 6 years posting here. I don't know if it's charming or dissuading anymore.

All of this also applies to Mega Man Volnutt. Is he also not Mega Man? If you have "Mega Man" in your name (and star in a Mega Man game) you're a Mega Man.

Really looking forward to the next time Beelzebufo gets banned at this point.

At least things will be quieter.

I'm glad you're looking forward to the day when posting interviews is a bannable offense.

I don't know what this means but I assume it's creepy.
Can't you two see that you're really in love

To me knowledge, none of the plots in the Mega Man games referred to Zero as "Mega Man Zero". The fact that he was
created by Dr. Wily
is enough to prove that he isn't a "Mega Man".

Just my thoughts, on this "Mega Man Zero" nonsense.

1. "Mega Man Zero" was the name of Zero's spinoff series simply for the sake of branding and marketing so that consumers would see this as a new line of games in the Mega Man series.

2. Zero was the original design for the next evolution of Mega Man, however he was later demoted to a support character given that Capcom felt his design was too far removed from the original Mega Man. (hence X was born)

3. Of all the supporting characters in the Mega Man series, none had an influence or impact on the games as much as Zero. Him being casually referred to as a "Mega Man" is again, most likely an honorary title given the importance of the character.

So, no Zero is not in any way a "Mega Man". I wouldn't at all consider Niitsuma a leading authority on Mega Man canon considering his only major use of the characters is in noncanon fighting games. Him referring to Zero as a "Mega Man" is either spun out of his own confusion with the characters, or most likely it is just that he considers Zero an important enough character that he would be suitable at representing the series without an actual Mega Man around.
This argument is stupid and we should all feel bad for taking part in it.

how is it different? And also learned what is the same surely not Megaman and Zero considering u got have the thread arguing with you? against it lol
hope this goes on till the daily pic, was getting bored lol
.
To my knowledge could be wrong but, always been 4 megamans, none of which were Zero. and 2 Zeros
one being that weird tall thing in EXE

This is my favorite Mega Man character:

I just always found it weird that his name is Mega Man & Bass.

My second favorite Mega Man character is Mega Man Protoman. Mega Man Rush is pretty cool, too.

Robot Masters are cool too. Mega Man Fire Man was kind of cheap though and I'm happy we got Mega Man Elec Man as an assist trophy. The Mega Man Yellow Devil in Mega Man Dr. Wily's stage is cool too.

Mega Man Zero and Zero are the same character, making Zero a Mega Man.

.

If you still think you're right, I'll give you one more challenge: Find me a screenshot of a game, a MEGA MAN game, where he is referred to as "Mega Man Zero." Not the title screen, not the credits, but actual in-game dialog. If you can give me that, I'll admit defeat.
I'm not wasting time doing that (you'd probably have to comb through a Let's Play or something). A little reading comprehension and the links I posted (the official interview) are all you need to know I'm right.
