Destiny Beta Code Giveaway/Begging Thread

why don't you guys just pre order from Amazon.com? they provide a beta key the moment you place an order and you can cancel at anytime. you'd still have to register it on the website but its better than asking for a code on here.

Have they cracked down on this or is the system slow? I just tried it and still no code.

Maybe the systems are overloaded. Just got it.

That is what I did today. Canceled right after I redeemed the code too.

Regional restrictions, somewhat. AsiaGAF kinda needs to circumvent to get codes, and even that is for codes outside our region.

Some of us applied for the free 5000 code giveaway by Playstation Asia, but we won't know of the status for that until later.
 
I will have 2x Spare Xbox One (seemingly global) beta keys once the beta starts/platform codes go out.

First two people to PM me will receive these codes once Bungie send them out.

Edit 1: One down to CivRav
Edit 2: Second down to w0mbat.

All gone.
 
I suppose they are going to be giving away 3 codes per console. I am getting the PS4 US version. I will be back once I get my other 2 codes.

If you order from Amazon, you get the beta code instantly which you can then redeem on Bungie.net. After that, you can select your platform and then have to wait until July 17th for the actual download key(s).

Hey guys, I already pre-ordered with Amazon and got a code, but had to buy the special edition (it was too tempting) from GAME (ugh) - So I have a spare code from GAME if anyone wants it? Not sure whether it'll be EU locked however, so PM me!

Unlike the Alpha, I don't get why people are begging...

As long as you're not like 13 without a debit card it's super easy this time to get one.

I may have a few spares though, just like I did with the Alpha, so I will check and see.
 
After I registered my code from amazon I don't think I received further word, are they coming through? I've yet to check my email today.
 
Hmmm. Preordered last night from Amazon.co.uk, but didn't receive anything in my mail.

I went for the limited edition, was that a mistake?

If anyone has a spare PS4 EU code, I'd be grateful. And I'll pay it forward when I get more codes.

Btw., if I read some more thread whining, I'll contact the mods - stay out of this thread if you have nothing more to add other than questioning this threads existence or people who don't use the Amazon method.

For some reason, whenever I use a new debit card to order something from Amazon.co.uk, they put some reservation on it on top of the ordered amount. I always have to cancel it by calling my bank - it's just a hassle.

So yeah, I'd really love to get in this beta so if someone has a spare key, I'd by most grateful. I have a UK Live account.

You have to do it through amazon.com no the uk one for the code. It is easy just use a us address and cancel when you get the code.

ah lame, well I will see if I can get you a spare.

I just did a test one on amazon.com and the beta code came through instantly, and on my amazon.co.uk it took a couple days to process and come through.

Hope this helps all.

Many thanks for advice. Got the code, registered on Bungie.net. Now just waiting for the 17th!

edit: Even if you preorder from Amazon.com, you can choose a EU beta code on the 17th from Bungie.net.
 
Like others said... (if all of my RL friends got the preorder beta....so far they all have one)...

Once i get my 3keys... ill post the extra 2 for PS4 US version...
 
I would very much like a PS3 EU code.


EDIT: nevermind, I just did the amazon trick.

I can confirm that it works also from amazon.it (I received the code immediately).
 
If I preorder Destiny via US PSN, will I get 3 beta codes?! Or is that some Amazon/USA retail preorder thingy?

edit - yup, Digital Preorders recieve only one beta code, not Bungie code that is redeemed on ther site for 3 beta codes.


I humbly beg for one PS4 EU code. :)
