HEAT have not been irrelevant since Pat took control. We haven't always been great, but this is one of the top franchises in the sport, even before LeBron. We'll be alright. LeBron helped push the Heat to the top of the sports heap down here. PEACE.

Wow.... just wow...

I feel like LeBron has been the ultimate puppet master in all of this. He has no loyalty, but everyone is loyal to him. The irony.

Not like this man :( BE GRATEFUL NOT HATEFUL

This.

I've been for about an hour now trying to explain to friends via text msg to be thankful. He obviously has greater motives than just winning rings. He wants to better Cleveland and that's awesome.

GET TO WORK, RILEY! Lol

I gotta admit, it's a pretty mature move. It would have been too easy to say to hell with them after all the shit that went down. It really got over the top and I wouldn't blame him if he remained bitter. But he stepped up and is being a bigger man about it.

Sure he still wants to win, but he certainly could have attempted that in a lot of places. Permanently abandoning the haters would have been the easy way, but it's an interesting lesson instead. Not just for him, but for those with the ridiculous amount of outrage over a basketball decision.

I'm just hoping maybe the people that hate on the guy 24/7 will tone it down a bit now. The guy is one of the greatest players ever, ridiculous that so many fans of the sport do nothing but shit on him.

The interesting thing to me is no mention of Bennett or Wiggins; one of three possibilities

1) Wiggins & Bennett are going to Minnesota for Kevin Love
2) LeBron had decided this years ago, and Bennett & Wiggins weren't on the Cavs yet
3) Just forgot about them / accidentally edited out for brevity

Honestly I'd try to get Minnesota to bite on Bennett, Dion Waiters, 2015 1st rounder (own), 2015 Miami first rounder, and 2017 first rounder.

That way you have your core of Varejao (Center), Love (PF), LeBron (SF), Wiggins (SG), Kyrie (PG). Holy crap. That's a terrifying team.

When Stugotz isn't being a clown he's really likable. The show doesn't work as well without his shtick, but i like hearing him outside of being purposefully annoying.

Imagine if he doesn't win a title in Cleveland. He'll pass Roger Clemens in the "everyone hates this guy" category.

I must be the only Heat fan that is OK with LeBron leaving. It was an entertaining experiment bringing 3 stars together but I rather root for a team that has to fight and claw their way to earn victories. It feels more rewarding to win that way.

Not gonna lie, I did follow heat because of bron, so now I will be following Cleveland. I'm not American so I can get away with this.

Wow "is Miami too apathetic of a sports town to have that kind of emotional reaction" Seriously fuck off ESPN radio guy (not sure who the guest host is). We are emotional, the city loved the Heat. But we appreciate what he did cause he did his job.

Hope this pushes Melo to sign for the Bulls. Will be his only chance of getting a ring.

East will then be between Bulls, Cavs and the Pacers.

The city only loves the Heat when they win, let's be real here.

I dont care what he did in another realm
This is the NBA!, this is the top where the
real greats coach, he is a nobody here.
Lol. The salt. Realm? What is this Lord of the Rings!

Phil Jackson at one time was a nobody. Pat Riley at one time was a nobody. Pop's at one time was a nobody. The fact is the guy has the background and pedigree to become a somebody in this league. When you come into this league with expert minds in basketball praising you and NBA players comparing you to Phil Jackson you take notice and don't dismiss him out of saltiness.

I understand but don't say this doesn't matter. The city in general isn't numb to big events, they understand what Lebron brought us. No burning jerseys in the street doesn't mean the city does not care, its that we are appreciative.
