So is Anthony Bennett seen has a lost cause?

No. Marc Stein just said on SportsCenter that multiple teams are very intrigued by him. He actually looked pretty good for the last couple games before he got hurt this past season. And he's supposedly slimmer and in better shape since then.

All reports I've heard about Bennett this summer have been overwhelmingly positive, from his weight, to his conditioning, etc. I was excited to see him and Wiggins tonight play in summer league. Now I'm kind of sad, cause one or both may be gone...

Chris Broussard just said on SportsCenter that the Cavs have offered Bennett, Waiters, and a 2015 1st round pick. I don't think Minnesota will bite, but Cleveland is definitely going to do everything they can to keep Wiggins.

It's so funny watching people clamor over Wiggins now when a few weeks ago a good percentage of folks thought the Cavs shouldn't take him over Jabari.

That said, my dream scenario is keeping Wiggins and getting Love. It'd be amazing. Not likely, but amazing. If that's the price, though...

Replaceable is a strong word but I get what he was saying. Lebron we felt would leave at some point, I thought 4 more years from now but it never felt like he would be a constant. Riley is the reason this franchise has had some sort of stability for nearly 20 years. Riley makes the Heat. Players come and go, Riley stays. But he will retire soon so the party might be over.

The next time the Heat are in the Finals we will all be driving hovercrafts.

I'm so used to this now. Doesn't matter if they win a championship, people always want to count out the Spurs each season.
If I knew the way I would put money down on the spurs now. I still think they get Gasol and even if they don't that team is just a machine of wins. Only team in the west that could challenge them is Houston or OKC and both are too selfish of a team to win a 7 game series. Harden will Harden and Wesbrook will YNB it up.

Hope this pushes Cleveland to give up a little bit more for Love. Wiggins plus another piece and/or picks would be a pretty good gamble for the Wolves I'd say, especially since GSW seems so intent on keeping Klay. At the very least the offers for Love should start to heat up now that the dominoes are falling, so I'm not expecting him to be with the Wolves deep into the season, if he's even there before the season opener.

Great letter by Lebron. Cleveland has a lot of work to do to win a championship. As for the NBA the Rockets won more than anyone in free agency so far if Bosh signs with them. The Rockets they will be stacked literally stacked. The west is gonna be ridiculous. I wonder what D-wade does now and what do the Heat do? It is gonna be interesting to see how things play out.

The Wolves have little leverage to make crazy demands. Love can play out the year and then opt-out, sign with whoever and the Wolves will have fuck all in the end.

Miami ain't the only losers in this. Golden State probably has no chance at Love now. Fuck me. I knew we should have dealt Klay for him when we had the chance.

LOL so amazing!

When Stugotz isn't being a clown he's really likable. The show doesn't work as well without his shtick, but i like hearing him outside of being purposefully annoying.
Haha, yeah Stugotz is actually good outside of the show.

It's weird, with Lebatard it is sort of the opposite for me. I find Lebatard obnoxious on TV usually (though it's been a while since I've seen his show) but on the radio he strikes a better balance between the over the top silly shit and a more level headed approach with actual analysis. Also helps that he has Stugotz as co-host to take on the silly role.

Not a Cavs fan here, but millions of people live in Ohio. Different fans probably reacted differently. Also, every single fanbase in sports would have had crazies like that after their hometown player left them without a title. Not justifying their craziness, but it ain't unique to this situation.

eh come on man things change fast..few right moves and they can be right up there again in a few years. Playing in the East helps

on the flip side now since Bosh will join the rockets, the West got even more competitive lol

Yup:

that one hurts...

Hey, can you talk to the management staff over there and let them know Boston has a ton of first rounders..... We could use someone that can actually shoot the ball.

LMAO I'm cracking up how Cavaliers are being favored over the Spurs to win a championship next year.

Or the Cavs being favored over the top 4 or so teams in the West, Spurs, Rockets (if they get Bosh), Thunder perhaps, Clippers maybe.

Ain't no way I would put money on the Cavs to win it next year. They might make it to the Finals, maybe, but winning it all? Nope.

This whole experiment has made me realize that, as a fan, it's not all about winning championships. It's more about the journey than the destination.

I've had more fun watching the Heat during seasons when they got knocked out early in the playoffs than the years they won it all.

I feel bad for Wiggins. You get drafted by the worst organization in the league, only to be traded to the second worst soon after.

Toronto will be there in five years, breh.

Yep, they may end up getting nothing. LeBron specifically says this will be a long process, so Cavs do not have to win the title next season, they can "gel" the guys and wait for Love.

Definitely won't bite. Makes sense that the Cavs wouldn't offer Wiggins immediately, but they're going to have to give him up.

hope the wolves fleece the cavs

Wiggins x Bennant x Waiters x picks only for Love

if its just Bennant + picks for Love then the pau gasol trade to LA gets replaces as worst trade ever

Hilarious note: The Grizzlies ended up potentially winning that trade. Marc Gasol was who the Lakers traded for Pau.

Crazy.

Bennett + Waiters + 3 1st rounders would be a pretty good haul for Love, especially considering he is gone after this year.

So all kidding aside, where does NY play into this shift in the East?

Melo's most likely gonna sign with NY for max money, but Phil would rather have pieces to build with. He's given Fish and Rambis carte blanche to rebuild. Is the showtime/triangle coming to MSG?

I would like to say we don't all feel this way. Give me championships!

Watching the Dolphins be 7-9 every year is so much fun... fuck that. I want to win.

If he goes to the Bulls hell have a big chance for getting a ring. He's not going to get anything in NY. Cavs will be a powerhouse in two years.
