I plan on getting a 3DS for Smash and was wondering which you guys think would be better for long sessions, 2DS or 3DS XL? I doubt i'll be taking it out with me so portability doesn't matter, i'm strictly speaking about which will give me an overall edge on the competition and least likely to kill my hands.

A couple posts were brought to my attention, hence why I am posting now (hi smashgaf)

I don't have context, so bear with me, but apparently competitive versus casual play has been a problematic topic in the past in these threads. I think that's a fine topic of discussion to have, if everyone can behave themselves and not sling insults. But apparently this hasn't been the case and things have gotten messy (?)

I decided just to remove posts before things became 'problematic' again. However, I don't mean to stifle conversation, if someone doesn't care for competitive play or what-have-you, that's a fine opinion to have and speak. Just state your thoughts without jumping down each other's throats.

It was a joke post that wasn't clearly stated as a joke post. It's been much worse in past threads.

Thank you!

If people can't tell if it's a joke post then it's a shitty one. Anyway, let move on and start better discussions then.

Guilty as charged, it was meant to be a joke, but I didn't clearly state it. I understand if you want to ban me for it.

Never lose hope in loser bracket, come back HBOX

It's such an unreasonably sensitive topic, it's hard to blame you if some take it too seriously and make it a grudge argument.

Thanks! For the record, insults only happened once a while ago right after the demo appeared, and after the people responsible were banned, it hasn't really happened again. But it's nice to know mods are on the look out.

Also, James Chen says theres a Smash announcement after grand finals.

On one hand, "something Competitive Smash fans will appreciate" doesn't make me think of a character...that'd appeal to any Smash fan regardless of their stance in the competitive scene. BUT that could also imply a character that is very valued in the Competitive scene, like the Captain. Oh, not really expecting anything, but will keep an eye on.

It seems to already be revealed. A long-time smash commentator is retiring due to health issues and got a special award after the competitors got their trophies.

The character is Prog.

So I saw seconds after posting that...Good 'ole Prog, really enjoyed his commentary on the Invitational. Great to see him acknowledged and given a respectful farewell.
