PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | July 2014

Yeah, a lot of accessories for the original Vita are dropping in price now that the 2000 is out. Thinking of picking up some stuff myself, even if I'd never use the car charger lol.

I found the car charger at wal-mart for $3.74 about a year ago and bought it for no reason. I commute, bike or walk.

Definitely get one of those portable battery/charger things if you find one cheap. They can come in handy.

guy posted 40 Destiny beta codes (any platform any location) in the destiny beta code begging thread ( on page 5) ...

grabbed mine for ps4. it works.

codes are redeemable on bungie.com

check it out quick while supplies last

Any last minute recommendations from the flash sale? I already got VF2...not sure what else to get.

If you don't own them yet, I think the Wild Arms games, Dino Crisis games, Legend of Dragoon and the Sypthen Filter games are well worth the buy. You may not fully enjoy them, but they are normally six bucks (and if you add only five bucks more, you could get TEN PS1 games for a little more then the price of one :D).

The Wild Arms games and Legend of Dragoon (from the little I played of them) are very fun games and have interesting combat systems (LoD has a pudo-active combat system where you time your button presses during attacks; its a lot of fun and reminds me of the Mario RPG's :D).

Dino Crisis series is old-school RE with dino's.....what's not to love :D?

The SF games look to be fun action games that hold up well (I didn't get them; only had a 10 dollar PSN card to use and I own enough actions games for Vita already....). I'm sure others here can give you a better impression of them :).

Lastly, Twisted Metal Black is a great buy :D. Unlike the PS1 games, it is normally 10 bucks and it is one of the best games in the TM series (I think....didn't play much of the series sadly :().

Hope this helps :).

Are Wild Arms and Dragoon turn-based RPGs or action RPGs? (Edit: I looked them up. They seem to be turn-based.)

PS+ makes this sale a bit of a pain, because I've already "purchased" some of these games (for example, one Syphon Filter game but not the other). Wish there was a way I could buy them to own even if my subscription lapses.

They really should address this at some point.

If you want my opinion on what to get from the 99c Flash Sale:

Wild ARMs - Old school JRPG goodness, this is one of the very first good JRPGs for the PSone and the graphics have aged well (sans the battle graphics), It has a lot of content and side missions. The only downside is that the the encounter rate is really high and frustrating.

Wild ARMs 2 - A refined version of the first game with more content and avoidable battles. Although it's a decent game, it's not on par with the first Wild ARMs due to the bad translation (smileys such as :-) in Lilka's text, wtf) and the dragging story.

Machinarium (PS3/Vita) - A neat adventure game worth well the price with great graphics. You can get all the trophies in one playthrough. The problem with this game is that it has game breaking bugs such as disappearing puzzle pieces.

Thomas Was Alone (PS3/Vita) - The game has a great narrative and gives each block a character. The game is a bit simple though and nothing groundbreaking.

Toejam and Earl - Classic goodness and very strange (hamster ball monsters, cupids). Though I'm not sure if the gameplay is actually good...

Added that for you, hahaha.

Jesus, i cant believe i spent about 10 hours, including breaks on Golden. Its even more amazing than P4 vanilla but i cant be putting in that much time in one day its not healthy.

Glad im hopefully finishing soon, going for the true ending.

No biggie. It made me like it either way.

I threw it in my cart. Hope it happens.

It's a really fun game series. It's full price because it's packed full of content. I was really hesitant buying it back when it first came out in English on PS3, but i quickly realized it was well worth $50. If you care about outfits and accessories it might be worth buying the 1st game and unlocking everything. You can use all the modules and accessories from Project Diva F in Project Diva F 2nd.

I find the game to be really addicting, and bought both the PS3 and Vita versions of Project Diva. Will probably end up doing the same for F 2nd in the long run, but starting out with just the Vita version. My TV has huge input lag issues that i can't get callibrated right. I find the game to be much more fun on Vita for that reason alone.

here is one of the crazy songs from Project Diva F
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUVyFSOb2WA

these videos really make things look easy. but when your playing the game in person it's a much different feelings. These songs are sensory overload. heh =)

the main rhythm game is loaded with options to keep you challenged, and there is a lot of other features that you might or might not be interested in.

Me? I'm still working on trying to get good at hard mode. I can get standard on some songs in extreme mode, but i need to get better. You have no idea how amazing it feels getting a perfect in a hard ranked song. Best feeling ever. Makes you feel really good.

oh and if you are interested check out how the pros play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvfEi844Yf0

I finished P4G yesterday with the true ending and epilogue. What a trip it has been. I managed to max quite a few social links but sadly not all of them. I really enjoyed the little backstories for the characters I did max and seeing them grow throughout the game.
I even got a bit of the feels during the ending, because I'm so attached to the characters.
I decided to play P3FES next. The lack of portability will surely be an obstacle but so far I'm enjoying it.

Is there any way to access a ps classic save i had on my vita and uploaded to cloud/content manager on my ps3 so i can continue that save file? Cheers

I'm sure it's been said before but that looks like a complete knock off of the Castlevania games for the GBA/3DS.

But since those games were a ton of fun, this is definitely worth a look now.

It think is more a rip off of the Megaman x game. it has the same movements and all, but looks good enough for me. Im not paying more 10 dolars for this game thou

the thought of possibly not maxing out my S.Link w Kanji is making me wanna restart my P4G run... and I'll probably not play it... till next year

-something is wrong w me.. this OCD hurts T_T-

I didn't think I would do this (I don't like anime) but I think I might have to pull the trigger on Project Diva F (vita). I've been wanting to play a rhythm game and everyone seems to gush about it.

That's what I was thinking too. Either way... They list a couple of classics as inspirations. I'd probably pay $10 for this too. Maybe more depending on length, but my gut says this game might be on the shorter side...

miku is not anime

Since it's playstation related, this controller in the right hands beat the SF4 Finals in Evo. Makes me want to hook up my PS1 and play some of my games on it.

Didn't mean to offend at all. What I meant by that is the style. I'm not sure what to call that.

I can definitely get over it for good games though, as I've enjoyed the Persona series a lot, as well as 999/VLR and soon to be Danganronpa I'm sure. I just have never really liked the art style and tropes that go along with it.

This game looks really fun, though, so I think I'm going to give it a shot.

whats the next big game for Vita (USA)? Freedom Wars? Akiba´s Trip?

there will be an announcement regarding ratchet collection? it seems pretty solid to me and the 3 games are in the card so is really something im looking forward to play.

Yeah, I think the next "big" game is Akiba's Trip or Disgaea 4, both of which are August.

There's a Lego Ninjago game coming out at the end of July, but I doubt that fits your criteria :p.
