I wonder if this gives Rayman a possibility at being a dlc character. Have a hard time seeing Nintendo getting permission for a 3rd party trophy

I doubt it is that hard for Nintendo when most developers would love their game to get even the smallest bit of rep in this game. Heck, look how much we've talked about Rayman today as a result of this news. Power of Smash.

How amazing would it be for the trailer to start off with Shulk having a dire vision of the future. Mechon are attacking Colony 9! He goes to the main entrance and tries to hold them off. A serious and dire battle ensues with high-energy Xenoblade battle music in the background.

We were expecting to receive 2D drawing references for Rayman, but to our surprise, they sent us data of a brand new 3D model that they rendered for this game!! And that was how this trophy was created. It takes a lot of work creating each model, so it's wonderful that the creators contributed their own efforts!!

Thread seems to have reached critical mass in terms of sodium, especially Joeinky lol. Just get over the fact some characters you like won't get in, sheesh. Not everyone gets every character they like, but that's ok cause the game is made for a variety of people who all have different tastes. Throwing a fit every time is not going to help at all other than making you look silly.
And this Rayman trophy is just a trophy, can't believe the reactions. Especially the "but Ubi betrayed Nintendo".

Wow. This is...odd.
The inclusion of this trophy is fairly representative of the level of game diversity present in Smash 4. With that said, I still think today's reveal is Shulk...

I don't think I could have woken up to a better thread page. Glad to see everyone has finally stepped into the light and basked in his everlasting glory.
I kinda abhor the practices of big 'AAA' publishers like ubi, EA, and activision. I haven't bought a game from any of them in YEARS. I've watched a lot of different ubi games played (i even download their demos when available) and they all feel like cheap imitations to me. Trying to be something they're not while never actually succeeding at being that. That's just my opinion, though, so don't get offended if i'm not a huge fan of games that other people here like. I was never a fan of Ubi Ip, ever, but sometime around Assassin's creed 2 I decided i'd never buy a game from them again (red steel was the last game i bought for myself, assassin's creed 2 was the last game i bought, period - I got it as a gift for my brother). I really don't like most of their games, and I definitely don't like them as a publisher. I'm sure I might actually like some of their games (I'd love to play south park, actually!), but I refuse to buy anything from EA, Ubisoft, or Activision.
Also, I didn't miss out on red steel. I worked at gamestop for years so we were allowed to rent any game we wanted for 3+ days. I rented red steel 2 and, while it was better than red steel 1, still wasn't a great game.
