Ah, here it is, Blind's passing stats:
vs. Spain: 88%, 66 touches, 3 tackles won
vs. Australia: 95%, 70 touches, 4 tackles won
vs. Chile: 73%, 39 touches, 9 tackles won
vs. Mexico: 88%, 65 touches, 2 tackles won
vs. Costa Rica: 86%, 104 touches, 1 tackle won
vs. Argentina: 87%, 88 touches, 3 tackles won
vs. Brazil: 88%, 42 touches, 0 tackles won

Three assists. One goal. Not shabby.

What's everyone's ideal squad? Mine would be

-------------------Neuer
Lahm --- Vlaar --- Rojo --- Rodriguez
--Mascherano ------ Pogba
----------------James
Robben------Van Persie---Schurrle

Struggling with the LB and CF positions. Neither deserve it, but hardly anyone else.
RVP? He'll be offside 90% of the time, waste of a slot :P

16.9 million peak for BBC compared to 3.9 million peak for ITV.

Poor Chiles.

I seriously can't stand ITV, they make a decent drama now and again but 95% of the time their programming and presenters (I use this word lightly) are complete and utter cunts. Their world cup coverage has been shit, Ian Wright should never be allowed on the television. Glad this is all over so I can forget about this channel again (until I visit my senile grandmother who has itv on 24/7).

Here you see the best player and the best keeper of the world cup. Right next to him is Messi.

Final should be moved to Saturday.

Agreed. Kick the useless game for 3rd out of the schedule and have the finals on saturday. Probably will never happen for health safety reasons, though :P

I had far too much free beer yesterday even though I have/had to work today, I can't even begin to imagine how much harder everyone would have partied if today wasn't a workday o.O

is Germany still celebrating their illegitimate win?

Should have been red card and penalty.

Neuer played the ball. It wasn't a foul by that Argentinian guy though. Should have been throw in. And if we want to talk about penalties and red cards...Kramer got elbowed so hard that he doesn't even REMEMBER the first half of the game. Now THAT would have been a red card. Or all your fouls on Schweinsteiger which never saw your players carded...stop being a salty loser, all you do right now is make your country look bad.

Huh something is off about this gif, it looks shopped. I know a situation looking like that happened yesterday but this one doesn't feel right.

Besides, guys, ignore him, this guy is a troll.

What would be the best way for me to see the Germans arrival home live? I love that sort of stuff.

ARD and ZDF livestreams should be easy to find and are completely legal, if they show the German arrival live that'd be your best bet (no idea if the streams are IP-locked, though).

I am sorry but watching it from that angle does not make it any less true. Neuer is just a psychopath amongst goalies and he should have definitely been carded for that kamikaze attack.
lol

You should see the close-up, super slow-mo and then come back to this discussion.

I work for SAP basically 80% of my colleagues I work with (I'm in Montreal but have a global role) are out of the office or out of commision.

lol

Aye, its dangerous play, whichever way you look at it.

Lifting the knee when jumping for a ball is standard practice for goal keepers around the world, it's harder to bring them out of balance in the air and prevents them from getting manhandled by the field players. A goal keeper simply has more rights within the box than a field player.

Howard was robbed.

His keeping during the Belgium game was legendary but I'm gonna still have to say Neuer deserved it for cool points. He was pretty much a force field during this grand final. Even when the ball went in, it didn't actually go in.

The guy is a great keeper but a danger for himself and attackers. He always goes in just touching the edge of what is right and wrong.

Some people would have complained if he were red carded. Some do it now for no card given. There are always people going to defend either situations.

It is a bullshit defensive statement. That only counts inside his goalie safebox, and not in the sixteen. The way he came in? The attacker could have broken his jaw.

There could have been a number of red cards; the ones above, the Aguero elbow should've been a second yellow, though the only one that really should have been given was Howedes kick against Mascherano. That's okay though, I'm Dutch, so would expect some thuggery in the final.

My blood pressure will be a little lower now that sinclair's lolworthy salt is no longer a part of my daily salt intake.

I suppose your points are all valid, in this instance its still dangerous play in my book.

Apologies if this has been posted, but a little curiosity: Neuer has completed more passes than Messi:

lUzkVk4.png

Neuer had at least 4 people that he could pass the ball to throughout 90+ minutes with no opposing players.
Messi was playing with 2 supporting players and had 7 opposing players most of the time.

I also think that wasn't ok what Neuer did, but at the same time I felt like Argentina was playing rough for quite some time up to that point and they got away with it (Kramer got hit 2 times in a similar way). So I'm not really angry that Neuer got away with that too.

One of these two links should do if you can live with

the original German broadcast:

http://www.ardmediathek.de/tv/live?kanal=208

http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/beit...itrag/livevideo/1822600/Das-ZDF-im-Livestream

I'm not sure if ARD or ZDF broadcast it tomorrow so just check out both when it's time :)

EDIT: The first link will do, thanks Hammer24!

Thanks guys, cant wait, thats 9 AM germany time?
