Rhythm Heaven will probably get a stage, if they do add a character from that series, it would have to be Karate Joe.
Oh I know, but if I were to choose between a sequel to GX and a beatemup/character action game starring Falcon, I'd choose the sequel to GX. In fact, I would choose a remake of GX over a Captain Falcon action game even if said action game was being created by Platinum Games.
Shulk is a given and Chorus Kids, with Rhythm Heaven characters in Smash Run, are too. There's going to be more even after those.

Since everyone is asking about Shulk and Chorus Kids, if they both get announced as the last two Newcomers what say you about Gematsu then? Would Chrom simply be a hiccup?

All of Falcon's attacks are about boosting and ramming into other characters. That's F-Zero racing in a nutshell.
Fox's moves like dodging and reflecting are things that he can do in the Arwing.
I just came up with a new F-Zero-themed Final Smash though. Two tracks appear on both sides of the arena, and all 30 racers jump across it. The arena is essentially swarmed for a few seconds. Also, the ship that prevents cheating saves Falcon from getting knocked out.

Eh. I really doubt we get another Zelda character (outside the eventual Ganondorf reveal). I wouldn't put too much stock into it.

That's what I'm thinking. He did initially predict several characters before E3 that we eventually got later. Because of that I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and that there was some last minute change.

Yes, but his Final Smash is the only attack of his that directly references F-Zero. He's a racer from a racing series -- the Blue Falcon Final Smash makes a ton of sense.

Perhaps the Levin Sword only comes out when he runs out of tomes, and otherwise he uses the Bronze Sword.

I've been a proponent of this since that video. Ridley will cover Metroid, and my money is on Demise for Zelda. I also think we will get Mewtwo again. If we also got Hades, who isn't likely, this would be the game of the forever for me. The absolute perfect cast.
Wow, looks like everyone has the opposite reaction to me. I think if the leaker is semi-accurate but confused or whatever then it's the Chorus Kids who are safe, since they're distinctive. I think Shulk is the one who comes out of today less likely just cus he does resemble Robin; and I could see the leaker, if he got mixed up with Chrom, being confused about that too.

Yeah, Chrom was always the one remaining newcomer who I was least looking forward to (and I can't imagine I'm the only one), especially after Ike was confirmed. This is pretty much best case scenario as far as I'm concerned!

Yep. We got a ton of cool stuff, and at the end of it the big standout is the one character that was de-confirmed. Now that we know Gematsu isn't 100% spot on, we can all hope and breathe a little.
Though now I'm worried about Shulk. Previously my thought was basically "well I guess that's that, but at least we're getting Shulk." Now who knows. We still may well get him, and either way things are at least exciting now.

That's a good point, but I think there's still some independent evidence for Shulk, namely the Monolith retweet and just the fact that a new Xenoblade is coming out. That's far from solid evidence, but it's something.
I think it'd make more sense - as far as Fire Emblem goes - to either have a switching mechanic for the swords or start with Levin Sword + Four Tomes and over time have them wear down. Either per stock or per match; you'd have to make sure to pace yourself or you'll end up without any usable B moves and a shitty bronze sword.

The line Chrom gave seemed not only to be a playful joke at the leak, but perhaps his original intentions to be used as a playable fighter. It's entirely possible the Gematsu information is just old and Sakurai decided Robin was a more interesting character.
Either way, I'm happy it's not Chrom. We really didn't need another basic swordsman, especially alongside Lucina.

From what I remember the... uh.. electric sword (forgot the name) was good but it breaks easily (?) someone can correct me on that
Anyway I saw about the tomes, Red, green, yellow, purple and in the image with female robin it seems there is a white one.
Also when Robin uses the green tome (Elwind) is that his recovery? what and odd looking recovery...
Anyway I loved the Thoron spell

Driving it around the stage would suck. It'd be like a weapon-less Landmaster.
It'd be better if, for a short time, everyone gets hit by the blue falcon and flies to Mute City or whatever. They have to fight in one spot on the track while Falcon passes by three times. There's a jump off the left side of the screen that lets the C. falcon player choose whether to pass by high, middle or low and each hit is almost a guaranteed K.O.
Falcon's final smash wasn't one of the worst, conceptually or mechanically. They're all terribly balanced with one another and some can't be avoided or countered at all. There are so many that suck to use, don't fit the character or both

No. Lucina is a Marth clone/alt, and Robin is a newcomer with Chrom as a final smash.
I still feel a Rhythm Tengoku character is a possibility with the enemy sighting and the fact it is one of Nintendo's more successful new IPs.
I just wonder how the music will be handled. Do we know how much is owned by Nintendo vs Tsunku.
