ermm, she is confirmed in her own slot, as a new comer in the smash bros site, in the trailer. It's not a situation of male wii fit trainer / female villager. she is a brand new character. 100% sure she had her own slot, there's no need to fight that
we could get shulk and chorus kids, but now we don't need to rely on that leak as if there won't be any new fighters or lucas. =P

Ah yes, I forgot Falco. But that's really only Melee. In Brawl while they are similar, the differences in the moves are still instantly spot-able.
And yeah, only five moves, but come on. Five moves that appear to be perfectly identical to Marth's. Realistically the odds are that trend will probably continue with the rest.

I'm just guessing here, but it does raise an eyebrow why they chose to do that with Lucina and not any other character.
Lucina isn't an alt. She's listed as a newcomer in many places throughout the site, and she even has her own rectangular box on the mobile site.
The reason why she doesn't have the rectangular box on the regular site is presumably because she shares the same artwork and trailer as Robin.

I don't really like how there are so many generic anime looking faces in the game. It's not that I'm against the anime style, but I feel like they needed to gear those types of characters(Fire Emblem guys, Palutena, Zero Suit, and possibly others) towards the original art they were taken from. Instead they seem to be trying to match that genre of character to one bland anime-ish face look. Smash Bros is supposed to be about different aesthetics and art styles all being juxtaposed besides each other. I think this art direction they've gone for with these types of characters is just a little too boring and it's making characters from completely different franchises look like they belong in the same universe/world together. I have no complaints about most characters and how they've stylized and rendered them and they've actually done a pretty good job with most characters. Just kind of upset that the FE guys/girls don't look enough like the great art style they originated from :/

A mistake like that is a distinct possibility, especially in light of him naming Chrom and not knowing Greninja's name. At least we still have the Monolith RT, for whatever tiny amount it's worth. I'm really happy Robin is in, but I want Shulk, too: he just looks like an interesting, unique character.
There's a lot of this in smash bros so far. You never really notice it until you're looking at looping gifs or screenshots for a while. I wonder if a lot of it will be corrected or put under the category of 'nobody will notice those 2 frames of animation, so it's not worth it.'

@PKRockin: That's where I've been the whole time but the vitriol shown at even presenting the idea that she's anything but her own character in the face of other active circumstances and the brazenness of people on the other side arguing that she is a Marth alt make me kind of want to go back in time and never say as much.
I am super hyped for the fe newcomers since fe is one of my top favorite franchises really excited to see how robin will play also hopefully blue hair robin will be in so i can just play my awakening character XD
