So I posted this awhile back... It's by no means exact, but Robin's reveal video was pretty darn close to what I imagined!

The video starts, and we see a wide shot of Arena Ferox from Fire Emblem Awakening, with two figures entering the arena from either side. The camera cuts to a view of the left side, and walking in from the left, we see Chrom. Then the camera cuts to a closeup of the figure on the right, and pans up to reveal Marth. Not a masked Marth, but Marth as he appears in Smash Bros. The two draw their Falchions and prepare to duel. Chrom charges at Marth, and a number of strikes are exchanged, à la the Fire Emblem Awakening Puzzle Swap panel. Instead of Chrom getting a critical hit, however, this time it's Marth. Chrom falls after Marth's blow, and Marth begins to sheath his sword, but he's interrupted by a strike of lightning—it's Elthunder, cast from a cloaked figure behind the fallen Chrom. The cloaked figure lowers their hood and draws their sword.

we're going to need a Marth version of this for SSB4 :P
 
I'm leaning way more to alt than completely different character, not repeating the arguments. (With moveset changes)

Though got to say loving the attitude of some people who believe she's her own character.

There is no absoulte proof either way and yet it's cool to act like there is.

I can't believe you use Doctor Mario of all people when he's the most obvious one. He throws pills, not fireballs. He has electricity, not fire.

Regardless how you feel about Lucina, she's given a fairly distinct personality in the trailer. She certainly was portrayed as a unique individual, seperate from Marth.

Actually I think you could say that the attacks are technically different. :P

Anyway, bring on the clones! As long as their properties are different enough that choosing one over the other is meaningful and one isn't so superior over the other that there's no reason to pick one, I won't find it a big deal.
 
KIng Hippo, Doc Louis and King K Rool really need to be in the game but I know 3 fat guys don't mesh with the new image Nintendo is trying to cultivate. So as a compromise and to get the younger Nintendo fans excited I propose these alts for the characters, that way we all win.

Beelzebufo, i don't agree with you, and i think that you didn't provide anything to prove that lucina "could" be an Alt, everytime that we had a female couterpart of an existing character, nintendo announced that they were an "alt", didn't include any separate box for them, they did put alt character in the same box. I don't know man, you seem to be ignoring everything that provides lucina beng a newcomer, different character having her own slot because her moves are the same from marth (considering that we had clones in all smashes, and clones != alt, where speed, damage and other stats change between them).



it's not like it matters, i'm just glad that i'll be able to play as her, but it's odd for you to hang in such a thing, unless you are an
alt account of everyone in this thread
 
I still think that Shulk & the Chorus Kids (or at least A Rhythm Heaven character) will get in. As for the vets, I think they'll use those two to get the rest of the Original 12 revealed. Ness will likely be bundled with Shulk, & Jigglypuff with the Chorus Kids.

Neither have a personality to differentiate. She's as different from him as F WTF is from M WFT.

Halberd from Brawl; it was a confirmed Classic Stage in the Direct, although I don't think we've seen it since.

EDIT: Beaten, and 3 times, no less!
 
I specifically remember last week saying how Beezlebufo just likes to argue just to do it. I don't even understand him, at this point.

You definitely have poor reading comprehension or are trolling, considering that you keep missing the main point of the arguement. He never said ALL of Dr. Mario's animations were identical. He said that you could easily take 5 attacks of Dr. Mario and the corresponding 5 attacks from Mario and have them all identically animated.
