You definitely have poor reading comprehension or are trolling, considering that you keep missing the main point of the arguement. He never said ALL of Dr. Mario's animations were identical. He said that you could easily take 5 attacks of Dr. Mario and the corresponding 5 attacks from Mario and have them all identically animated.

And if those moves were special moves (like they were for Lucina), it would be incredibly obvious that they aren't.

Today was fun. I'm still quite shocked by the Rayman thing and want to know more about that collaboration. Seems strange they'd show that today on a big announcement day lest it be overshadowed, or maybe that's what they wanted anyway?!

I'm really happy with today's reveals. Definitely wasn't what I expected but I'm so happy this is what they've decided to go with and exceeded our expectations massively - also discredits the latter leaks as well to some extent. Yay!
And anyone saying Fire Emblem receiving 4 reps is overdoing it needs to learn their history since the franchise is massive and long-running in Japan, and has kicked off recently in the west too, especially with Awakening.

With Lucina it definitely points towards her being a "clone" at this point but I'm not too annoyed if it means people can play as their favourites. Robin looks amazing too. I loved my OC in my first FE:A playthrough, and doubt they'll add a feature to rename/customise Robin but they definitely do a good job of showing there's more to Fire Emblem than blue haired Lords with swords - the fact they poked fun at Chrom in the video with this was great too. You're damn right it was Lucina doing the protecting and breaking down barriers!

Not sure if we'll see any more Fire Emblem characters. Kinda woulda liked one of them to be unlockable. I personally wanted Anna to make an appearance in the game (with the Levin Sword too!...) but today's trailer still took me by surprise. I was sat there in the handicapped toilets in work with my phone and headphones in toe enjoying every second.

+ Clone newcomers: Lucina, Dark Pit, Toon Zelda & Bowser Jr.

Toon Zelda and Bowser Jr. are sort of the polar opposites of their source characters (small, fast, and weak), but Lucina and Dark Pit are closer to Dr. Mario from Melee. I envision Dark Pit as having the Silver Bow instead of the Palutena Bow, his own voice, and cocky taunts.

Oh, and Dixie Kong's first in line for DLC in this hypothetical dream scenario.

Today was humongous, even moreso than E3 in some ways. E3 we expected Mii, palutena, pacman beforehand... and got them. They were great and mii were presented in a way we never imagined, but pac-man and palutena was really expected.

Today we had:

1. 3rd party trophies from characters that aren't even playable
2. Lucina instead of Chrom
3. Avatar/Robin which many (like myself) doubted would ever make the cut, despite being a great choice
4. Arguable deconfirmation of the gematsu leak which we have held as truthfact since the smash direct in April.
5. Captain falcon reveal before launch (many expected him to be an unlockable secret like he was in Brawl)

As I'm sure most of ya know, the leaker e-mailed me last night teasing Shulk.

He also e-mailed me again this morning saying Nintendo keeps a lot secret from Bandai Namco, and that Sakurai may change his mind as he does all the time, but that Shulk was 100%.

A quote: "I only know what has been done, not what or when they will be made available. Sakurai may change his mind, and he does all the time. Shulk will not be changed."

I've e-mailed him about the lack of Shulk, as well as the whole Chrom being a Final Smash thing. I'll update if I get a response.

Nah. He's just a palette swap. I will never assume that it's taking the place of a full character.
