None. That's why im convinced the most Lucina is an alternate character. None of her moves any different from Marth's in any way. Plus boh have the same proportions and style. Knowing that the developers of the game have made possible to have a character with a couple 3D models to select from if they fit into the same armature, given Lucina's underplayed treatment is only natural and logical she's an alternate appearence for Marth.
Nope, it was down to Lucina or Melia... we all know how that ended

Exactly, it would make a lot of sense for Lucina to be an alt considering how similar she is to Marth. Then again, it could just be incredibly lazy character design.
Anyway, here's my predicted roster. 50 characters, Miis are selectable in a different way. Seems likely, considering it fits perfectly on two pages of the 3DS screen.
To be fair, he took very long to point a difference between Link and Toon Link, not to mention that he still hasnt explained anything about Palutena.
He does this a lot actually, one of the screenshots on Zelda profile shows her down special, the phanton slash, but he didnt explain it until the Smash Direct.

I'm not gonna argue her being an alt or clone, but Lucina is jumping while Marth is falling.
Those are his jump and fall forward animations being shown by both Lucina and himself.

My point was that since Lucina, a newcomer character with her own profile slot, is in the game, there will probably be at least something different about the properties of some of her moves that we haven't seen or had explained yet.

But it's also possible that Lucina, a character who seems to have the same moves and properties as Marth, is an alternate costume. Your logic goes both ways. She might not have her own spot on the final roster, even though she has a different character profile on the website.

Heck, even Roy, whose specials were EXACTLY the same as Marth's had different properties for said specials
I honestly wouldn't mind if she got more of Marth's Melee properties.

No way it would fill the screen. You have to show a bit of the rest so that people know that's not all.I'm pretty sure that's exactly what he was talking about though. They're the very definition of an alternate costume. You can't really look to that quote when it doesn't apply.
Anyway, I updated my roster. Fits perfectly on the 3DS screen, so I don't think we'll see any additional characters. Miis are selectable in another fashion (not on the select screen) so that it doesn't look ugly during online matches.
Just a rough idea, but you can see how it fits. Like the demo, it's 4x6. 48 roster spots, plus 3 Miis. 50 characters overall!
I think someone already suggested that she doesn't have the tipper mechanic since her slashes leave a solid trail instead of a gradient one like Marth.
Could be the case, but I think that the reason she has said profile (you're talking about the website right?) it's because she's just a different person from everyone else in the game. But I don't think that means she's a traditional roster addition. The way I see it makes me believe she's going to be that way.

Huh? This is going off of the 3DS demo select screen, which featured 24 squares per page. If feel like you can't shrink down those spaces anymore without making them too small (especially on OG 3DS). I'm not quite sure what you mean by "the rest".

There is no way, that within the past 6 months, Sakurai (on a whim) decided to scrap a character, and then turn them into someone else's final smash. If you believe that, then I've got some stock options to sell you.

But Sal says the leaker works for Namco Bandai, and while he initially knew Chrom was on the original roster draft, Sakurai changed his mind, and kept it a secret. So thats the mentioning of Chrom

More likely, the leaker saw a list of models to be made for the game, and Chrom was on it. He assumed Chrom was going to be on the roster.
That was exactly what I was imagining.
