PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | July 2014

Why would you do that to yourself? D:

Don't grind, just fuse better Persona. You can spend boatloads of time making Izanagi a feasible Persona to keep around or you can just fuse higher level and better Persona with a fraction of the effort.

Constant fusing is the best way to keep on top of battles in Persona 3 and 4 with minimal to no grinding.
Could be playing a single persona run.

I didn't fuse enough in my P4G run. Then again, I lucked out and got many level up cards during my dungeon runs so I could make my Personas last. I used the same Persona for the last three dungeons because of this.

I'd recommend you to buy an HDD first. If you keep having the same problem you could get the 12GB model (cheaper) and put the disk drive you've just bought.

In the worst case it may cost you a few bucks more than a brand new 500GB model, but it'll be worth if your console isn't broken.

I'll try that, thanks.

But I'm having fun with it in some sadistic way. D:

I am fusing some high level stuff just incase, but for the most part I want to keep using Izanagi. Also my party was woefully underleveled too since I barely made it through the 1st the first dungeon(Castle) in two trips to the tv.
Also this is my first playthrough.

What is Legasista like ? any good?

Also Disgaea 4? I played the first Disgaea game on PS2 years ago and really enjoyed it but things are different now. The game is very stat heavy and munus and numbers I dunno if it would hold the same interest it did back then as it would now when I'm like older lol....

I know how you feel. But playing it on Vita, being able to suspend/resume, is much better and manageable.

Corpse Party games are bundled for 20 bucks, but the two games separately haven't gotten a discount.

:-/ Damnit I want Book of Shadows.

Ratchet games rated by ESRB separately for PS Vita. Guess the collection is coming out here after all, just a matter of time I suppose.

I figured this would happen :D; the collection coming stateside late this month/early next month to pad out Vita releases :).

I really hope this will be cross-buy with the digital version of the collection; own the collection for PS3 via PSN, so getting it for free would be nice :).

You and me both my friend. But knowing SCEA no hype whatsoever.

Holy crap, DJ Max Technika Tune is hard! Any tips?!
Sorta goes without saying but like most things practice is what's going to help you out the most in the long run. However there are small things that might get you there quicker.

Make sure you have a comfortable grip on your Vita while playing, learn to play with one hand and multiple fingers since you'll need the other for the back touch which becomes more involved as you progress to higher difficulties, attempt to play with the song rather than simply reacting to the notes that do appear, and remember that Fever mode is an option that is highly dependant on your positioning - you don't need to pop it off as soon as it becomes available.

Some people also advocate playing on Hard difficulty from the very beginning to force yourself to better learn the songs rather than stumbling your way through to a passing grade.

Murasama DLC is up! Still didn't get the second ending for Gonbe but whatever.

And what with all those bundles coming out today?
edit: oh, 2 for 1 sale.

The flash sale, this weekend, was nice. Now I wish we would have another, each week. I'm sure it would only be in Sony's benefit to get people buying more Vita-compatible games.

Thanks.

The tutorial whizzed by without me really understanding what does what. Does it matter what part of the back pad I'm holding down? Or should I be tapping?

Good to see separate listings for the Ratchet games on Vita. It's easier to drop $10/$12 on one title sometimes.

Yeah definitely, might even skip out on the first one now unless I can come up with a reason I would need to start there over 2. If I remember correctly, 1 was the buggiest of the ports anyways

The Vita store has a banner ad for both the 2 for 1 sale and the (poor) GTA bundle, but when you click the 2 for 1 banner, you only get the GTA bundle. Will they add the Corpse Party bundle before the official store update, or will they have two banners advertising the same thing?

Just sent Tom a PM, I think they forgot to add Corpse Party, specially since they're already Vita-compatible.

Thanks.

Just taps and holds for the back touch panel. It would be far too unfair if the game asked any more than that.

Yeah... Once again the weekly sales come up a little short for me. I'd be interested in Blood Dragon and Call of Juarez, but at maybe half that price.

Glad I waited for the PS2 Devil Summoner games. Not sure on Persona 2. Liked P3, loved P4G, but disliked P1. Would I like P2 (either the PSP remake Innocent Sin or the PS1 port of Eternal Punishment)? Edit: Oh, P2 got rid of the first-person exploring and turn order isn't invisibly determined by speed? Hmm, sounds like P2 fixed what I didn't like about P1.

Now to wait for Digital Devil Saga to get a discount....which knowing Atlus will be in a few months.

Thanks.

I play with both touch screen and rear. Just keep on playing on easy and you will find yourself playing in the hardest levels in no time.

Has Herc's Adventures ever gone on sale? I have $12 left in my wallet and am trying to decide between Herc's Adventures and Jet Moto or Devil Summoner 1,2, and something else.

Not that I recall, no. While Devil Summoner 1 & 2 being $4 is the cheapest it's been, considering how often Atlus has their digital stuff on sale, I wouldn't be surprised if it was discounted again later this year. Heck, it's the reason I'm waiting on Digital Devil Saga, because I know that'll be $5 soon enough.

Welp. I was wrong. The advertised deals aren't for me, but I think I'll be picking up P2: Eternal Punishment to round out my Portable Persona collection.

I'm looking at videos of Devil Summoner 2 though... For somebody that likes action RPGs and is starting to really get into Persona games (although I haven't even beaten P4G yet! Shame on me!) is Devil Summoner 2 something I should be looking into?
