Games you remember, names you don't

Edit: BONUS ROUND!

This is a completely different game. I think this one was on SNES, but could have been on NES (I'm about 80% it was on SNES). It was a platformer, and you played as a knight, in full knight armor and helmet and all.
Ghouls N Ghosts too obvious... maybe Sparkster? I guess you'd remember the knight in armour being an opossum though. XD

I remember a game (from the late 90's I think, on a CD-ROM) where I controlled some kind of robot/mech. It was a topdown shooter/rts (but I only controlled one robot). You had power-ups and if I'm not mistaken I was not only fighting other robots, but also infantry (not sure if they were human). There was blood (some gore maybe) as well.

PS1 Game
Played it on a demo disc. Tomba! May or may not have been on that demo disc as well
3rd person.
I remember there being mechs but I don't remember if you fought them, used them, or both.
Sorta futurish/plain starter area in the demo (Might have been floating in the sky?). Eventually at the end of the demo you move to a huge open field with grass everywhere.

Not much to go on, but that's all I remember.

Could it be Ghost in the Shell? I remember playing this from a demo disc on PS1.

arcade fighting game, and depending on the damage, players would lose limbs. varied fighters. It was pretty corny looking but i remember playing at some arcade. was def mid 90s era. It was pretty graphic with the violence

Another NES Ninja game. Recall that it was from an overhead / almost isometric view. Despite a ninja being the protagonist, there was almost no fighting. I remember walking around a garden in the first level, and needing to "attack" a raft to push it down a stream, in order to jump off of it to cross said stream. Timing the jump was also impossible. I think I remember running away from swarms of bees or something too.

Good luck!

The Last Ninja played like that..

There was a game I played as a kid.. I was around 7 or so.

It was for Sega genesis, I think you were a caveman/in a primitive society. All I remember was that it wasn't a normal platformer, and night and day went by. I think it was a SIM type game.

It's a long shot if anyone knows, but it's seriously bothered me forever. As a kid I was just too young to understand the game, and now that I'm older, I don't know what the game is.

Populous 1 or 2?

There is a game I played on my cousin's Master System, it was a turn based RPG with a cat in your party and had a labyrinth played in first person. One of the monsters you fight is a giant worm from the desert and other is a humanoid rat.

I need help.

It's an FMV game. You're a spy. The first level, you fight some thief off in your apartment. There's a level where you are on a rocket powered wheel chair.

Alright, PS1 game, 3D, I *think* it had local multiplayer.

All I remember it had some sort of battle arena that was a big cube that could rotate around. You could stand on any plane and not fall off. I remember the characters being blue and red, for some reason.

I think I played it from one of those PS Official Mag demo disks or something.

Blast Chamber. Fun game, but a bit simple.

there was this arcade game, it was set in a class room and you had to bump the other students out of their seats and not let the teacher catch you. I played this game a lot as a kid growing up at a local hamburger stand

Very fuzzy memory: I think it was an Amiga game that had you playing as a rat(?) in a sewer collecting footballs and other trinkets while avoiding enemies, maybe traveling through pipes. I tried googling it with a couple of word combinations but came away empty-handed.

This one could be Flood.

Sounds like The Humans.

There was a awesome game that I remember playing when I was 8-9 for the GBA that was an action rpg that had a lot of different classes and most importantly, coop up to 4 players.

I remember playing as a ninja with my friend, this game reminds me of Monster Hunter just for the city, It was a place when you armored up, put the money on the bank (Because if you died, you lose A LOT of money) and you select which place will you go next. I don't remember if It had sidequests.

And another that I remember that I really liked back in the day was a jrpg with turns based combat in the NDS, in which you have to use the NDS like a book and the plot was very focus on the "destiny" and things like that.

Someone can help me? Especially in the GBA one, I never owned my own cartridge (Me and my friends used to rent it) and It's just missing in my collection.

There was some game that feature some frog and some female frog hopping to save little frogs across enviroments such as space, haunted house, and temples. it was for the ps1.

You sure it was Amiga? Maybe Peter Pack Rat for Commodore 64/ZX Spectrum?

GBA one is maybe Shining Soul 1 or 2. The Ninja mention makes me think that it is this.

Avalon Code is the DS one.

I feel this one may be pretty obscure and my memory of it is a bit fuzzy so i'll do my best...

It was an original gameboy game, and I'm pretty sure it was an import (unless you couldn't normally play JPN gameboy games on a US gameboy) that I bought "used" at Kmart way-back-when. You played as a ninja and I'm pretty sure it had an overhead view like zelda. I can't remember if the game played like a rogue-like, or if that's my memory playing tricks on me. But I think I remember picking up leaves as items and maybe having a spear or something and going through some maze like areas maybe.

After reading that again I realize its vague as hell. If anyone can actually figure out what game I'm trying to describe then you're probably some sort of sage lol.

Maybe one of the Ganbare Goemon games. Came here as mystical ninja.

I remember when I was a wee lad in the late 90's-early 00's there was a 3D RC-car game that I played on one of the PCs at CompUSA. Anyone know it? I think the level I played took place in a back yard, and there were little ramps and stuff to jump off of. It had Playstation era graphics too.

I need help finding the name of a game that has started many arguments in my friend circle.

There was a game that was announced around E3 2005 or 2006. I believe it was for Xbox 360. From that day I always called it Rage, which apparently was like 2-3 years prior to Rage being announced, which is what causes the arguement because I refuse to call it anything else and my friends do not remember it.

It was a short teaser showing a dark and gloomy building, and eventually an old man comes into frame and begins talking and telling a story. I always called him a monk because he wore a bowl shaped hat that I always compared to the one Raiden wears in Mortal Kombat. I recall there being like tokens or something dangling from the hat.

It's an awful discription and I cannot find the game. Can't even find the teaser now. I refuse to admit that I am making this up and if anyone can help me, I know Gaf can!

That's probably it! Thanks!

You're welcome X3. You know this thread is a good way for me remembering some childhood games..so i think i will continue.

There was this game on the ps1 that you control some kid with a baseball cap. i remember the controls being like controling like a tank. you shoot what seemed to be bubbles out some gun. and i think i remember the game over screen is the kid being in a hour-glass or something...I cant' recall much more than that...perhaps for good reason. oh and when i saw Sonic R and Toy Story 2's company showcase *the part that comes when you first start the game*, the one with the fox seems familar.

No blood, but it sounds like Robo Aleste.

Can you help me?

I'm looking for a PS2 (or maybe sixth gen) game, which is about a roman guy, who is avenging his family, after he made to be a gladiator. I've only heard about a game (on the school yard) I always wanted to try that game, but never had a PS2, and I can't remember the name. I've never seen to game, so maybe my description is not accurate.

Need help trying to find a steam game. You play as some type of alien goo creature held captive in a human laboratory. Your goal is to escape captivity. The game is played is from a 2d side scrolling perspective with 2d sprite graphics.
