Finally some light next week (thanx Three60 for the tip):

Along with https://twitter.com/realandytudor/statuses/487732747382030338, which is a nice surprise!

Urgh that's horrible news for Australia. Namco Bandai are notorious for price gouging in this country.

Old news, but fuck that!

I might go in on that refund if those cunts are going to be over charging for the game here (due to us not being yanky ubermen!).

Hi,

Comparison dual view with interior and exterior camera, of graphics and sounds, between Project CARS and Assetto Corsa. Its a lap at Silverstone International with the Pagani Zonda R.

Regards.
Hm. AC sounds better inside the car, but PCars sounds better outside.

What really bugs me about this sort of thing is that they all claim to be absolutely real, and yet they wind up totally different. Clearly, one of them is more "real" than the other, but how do you decide without having a Zonda R to take to Silverstone yourself?

On a side note, I may have to buy a new wheel setup at some point.. I have an old Logitech wheel I bought years ago for Gran Turismo, I haven't even tested it on PCars yet.

Some LFO Club fun. Hope you like it.

I was lacking a good pace in this race. Wasn'tthat good from that point of view, but I guess you can enjoy the nice sunset.

I had good pace here, but I was sent off flying in the first lap and had a bizarre penalty that costed me dearly.

Bad pace again. Luckily enough I wasn't the only one. Very good and clean fight.

A bit of a messy race for me. I totally lost my cool after the stupid penalty.

List of wheels supported per system (not final).

What?

THIS is very, very interesting:

PLAYSTATION 4
Thrustmaster T100

I know many do not know, but T100 is certainly a very strange wheel in the overall Thrustmaster line-up. And why? Well, because it does not use the Thrustmaster's own HEART API, but a completely different one..

..Force Feedback system with Immersion TouchSense® technology..

http://www.thrustmaster.com/products/t100-force-feedback-racing-wheel

Well, count me damn surprised here.

If that one is not a mistake, something interesting could "unofficially" happen.

Why did I ever fucking think that PS4 would have Fanatec support?

Goodbye consoles, you pair of bastards.
Hello PC, my new best friend.

I just built my first gaming PC specifically for Assetto Corsa and Project CARS. There's a few things I miss about Forza and GT, but the transition has been much easier than I expected.

Hello PC, my new best friend.

That's why I got rid of my CSR wheel and bought a TX (I'm actually waiting for the UPS guy as I'm typing this). I'll be using it with my CSP pedals on pc and xb1.

This will cover everything except PS4... But I don't really care for PS4. The closer we get to release the less hyped I am for Driveclub. Also most sim guys who played the DC demo said it was super arcade so it will mostly be a pad game anyway.

By the time GT7 comes out (in 2-3 years lol) I'll probably try to find a T300 base that will work right away with all the rims and accessories I have for my TX.

Talk to Fanatec...they can't be bothered to create their own drivers...and relied on Logitech, who has sense shut down their console business...

I was thinking about upgrading from my DFGT but I had no idea the Fanatec CSW was so damn expensive :O

Yeah go for a CSR if you want to go Fanatec or a Thrustmaster TX (basically the same thing as t500 but cheaper and you get xb1 support)... Or the T300 which is the same thing but for PS4 instead.

You could probably find a cheap G27 too but if I had a choice I would go for a belt driven wheel over a cog wheel anytime.

This DFGT is the only wheel I've ever had/used. It's not bad but I wouldn't mind having something that looks and feels more realistic, plus better pedals and a 'real' shifter. Mainly would be used with my PC as I'm not sure I'd use it with my PS4 even once GT7 releases.

If you want to go "pro" with a bigger setup you basically have to choose in which ecosystem you want to invest. If you buy a Fanatec wheel then you will want to buy fanatec pedals and shifter. Same thing if you decide to go with Thrustmaster. Once you go in one ecosystem you are pretty much stuck there unless you decide to buy some weird adapters like I did lol (Using a Thrustmaster TX wheel with Fanatec CSP pedals).

I looked around the web and found out that Logitech DFGT is indeed the one to buy for a budget. The thing is I can't buy locally because it is way expensive here and if I buy internationally the price can't exceed $100 or our customs won't allow it :(

Nice showroom. Stats, though, are still placeholders, I assume.

Oh yea, actually pretty much everything is placeholder there. Even the background and light fixtures aren't completed yet. If you look you'll notice that the reflection mapping on the floor warps and displays incorrectly. The GUI still has a lot of work left to be done. It's all still a mish-mash of styles and fonts. It's going to be very pretty when it's all done.

I'm just glad they got rid of the actual garage. It never really looked up to par and I think going with the black showroom gives it a much more elegant presentation. Every week we see big improvements.

It seems I can get proper used second hand Logitech Momo for $50~. Should I buy it? Is it OK for that price?

I wouldn't pay more than 50$ that's for sure... Heck I'd love yo sell you mine for 50! lol.

Honestly it's not a great wheel. Ok for entry level but it's very toy like (very small and small degree of rotation).

I would not settle for anything less than a Logitech DFGT. Save up and wait a bit longer.

How much money you have to spend: Wheel you should get (PC)

<$100: Nothing. Save up until you have $100

$100: Logitech DFGT

$200-300: Logitech G27

$300-400: Thrustmaster TX

$550: Thrustmaster TX + Fanatec CSPv2 pedals

$800+: Fanatec CSW + A wheel rim (there are many options now) + Fanatec CSPv2 pedals

I do not care about money: Bodnar Direct Drive Wheel

I would look around some more. There are a good amount of people who are likely looking to sell there Fanatec gear. I'm probably going to try and sell my wheel for around $50, if I ever get off my lazy ass to do it.

Yeah... Now that I have my new TX I'll probably get rid of my CSR at some point. Only reason I'm not in a rush is just in case Fanatec/Logitech wake the fuck up and something happen with the PS4. It's the only platform I don't have covered right now.

I've seen fanatec wheels (especially PWTS and GT3's) been sold for 100-150eur all the time. It's a great wheel and I've slowly added stuff to it.

I have the metallic paddles on the PWTS for shifting, CSR elite pedals, a button box that I built myself, a stock fanatec sequential shifter, CSR shifter set and a TH8RS shifter. Bought the CSR ones before getting an insane deal from amazon uk for the TH8RS thanks to the sim racing thread, like 80 or 90eur for the shifter, it costs around 170-180eur over here. Also got myself a second hand TrackIR5 kit with a track clip pro that I'm really happy with.

Thinking I'll eventually get a Thrustmaster TX or T300 but keep the fanatec pedals unless there's a wheel that comes out that's compatible with both new consoles, it's strange that the TX doesn't work with the PS4.

I like the look of TrackIR but will probably wait for OR.
