Pretty sure a pre-order by no means legally binds you to actually making the final purchase. It's a reservation of sorts, which in this particular case happens to give you instant access to the beta.

Absolutely. I fully intend to pick up a regular edition for 50 bucks from Media Markt or Saturn on launch day, canceling the PSN order.

Oh, sure, this gets posted the minute I finally cave and preorder it on my newly-created EU account... Since there's no payment method connected to the account, I guess the worse they could do is ban it. That wouldn't really be a loss since it was created only to grab the beta client.

Why? Because it would be amusing to see the people who thought they were tricking Sony be bound by their Ts and Cs and have to buy Destiny through PSN.
 
In Japan, I just have to wait for Sony to mail me my code...

Or just download it anyway because I have PS Plus.

Either way, I have to wait. I hate waiting >:(

My girlfriend got annoyed when I said I'm not seeing her over the weekend because I was playing a game.

It's just a "game" she said...she just doesn't understand. I said I'll see her Monday and Tuesday, she didn't need to know about the maintenance, right? haha
 
For those of you worried about the pre-order and cancel trick. Someone linked to a official PS Blog post where a community representative mentioned that the Digital Guardian Edition would not be up in time for the Beta so people should just pre order the regular edition and cancel again for beta access and just pre order the DGE when it goes up.

So there you have it. Even PS Blog officials tell us to do it. If the access privilege you get from pre ordering the DGE at a later date is enough for Sony to not care about it, then it sure as hell will be fine if we enter our legitimate beta key from Bungie and access the pre loaded files.

While that may sound attractive, the thought of hopping into a game without changing discs may be worth the extra money. Although I must say I am let down by store prices. For 70 euro's or 80 I should get the digital guardian edition.

Oh and I cant wait to explore the moon! Thats where them space wizards come from!
 
Phew, I thought I'll be stuck at work all day while everyone else is playing already.
Now I'm gonna be stuck at home later, waiting for my download to finish, while it's probably crawling at 500 kb/s with everyone downloading at once :/

Meh, hooray to the 4 extra days of ps4 beta!

Yeah, the idea of being able to load up Destiny any time I want is why I'm going digital. Did the same thing with FF14.

Man, you're right. Discs are for suckers.

Who knows, I hope i'm able to snag a limited edition on sale somewhere. It's going to be the only disc in my PS4 for a long while anyway.

While games are not "nerd shit", I do have a lot less gaming stuff lying around these days too. One more reason to go digital, less clutter.

Then you will AUTOMATICALLY have it added to your library by Sony. No additional steps required, no codes given. It will pop into your library.

When will it pop in my library if i preordered from the PSN store?

If you are in the EU it should be there already. If you are from anywhere else, it will pop up when Sony is ready (gets off their ass). No, actual sign-in to ANY of the authorization portals (PSN, XboxLive, FB or G+). I tried ALL of them, and this is what I get on my HTC One SV (all latest updates, everything updated, reseted and cleared few times).

DAMN ANNOYING.

Especially because I can sign-in with my chinese 50$ Android tablet that run like crap.

Here is what I constantly get.

I registered my code on bungie.net for the beta on PS3. Would they send the PSN download code sometime before beta starts? Where do I check for the download code?
 
I'm already pretty much sold on the game. I'm mainly just downloading the beta to see how the shooting and movement feel. Basically expecting Borderlands with more fluid movement. I've never played a Halo game so I have no idea how they control.

My main fear is shallow rpg/leveling mechanics and lackluster loot. But if the level cap is really low then I doubt those will be able to be determined in the beta. Regardless I enjoyed Borderlands so much that if it's remotely like it I'll most likely keep my preorder.

Got the same problem with my HTC One X, updated, redownloaded etc. etc.

No idea how to fix it so i just downloaded it to my workphone instead (iPhone) and it works just fine :/
