This is my reason for going digital for all games! Will give $$$ to not move from my couch and play whatever I feel like

the only downside is that you can't trade the games in, otherwise I agree. The only console digital games I have so far are Destiny and FIFa on PS4, and MK8. I'll get Madden digitally, but tlou is a game I'll play once and trade in...if I finish it at all. I don't want to pay $60 for a sp game, then just have it sitting there taking up space knowing I could get $30 or so bucks toward another new game. (I do buy all new games) If you have a PC, you know that eventually you run out of space from games on Steam, Origin, uplay etc. Same will happen in a few years, and you start picking which games to delete etc.

nah, its just i think the scope was bigger than what could be put into simple blurbs. People weren't willing to dive deeper to understand what it was, otherwise all the info and media was out there. But yeah, feels good to have everyone else join in on the hype now

i've always said the alpha/beta would be the best marketing tools.

i learned a couple things: you can share items between all your created characters through the vaults in the tower and there are 5 gold loot boxes in the cosmodome

No. I can't preload it since I didn't buy it digitaly. I already have my version payed in full and don't want to do the "EU preload trick" in case Sony will be up in my ass when I cancel the preorder

Yeah you're right with this they did say, I do actually have a digital pre order, which I'll cancel after the beta ends.

I have a Ghost edition pre ordered anyway....

If you go back to the codes part to do this:

Go to profile
select codes
will then show all redeemed codes and you'll be able to pick platform.

its not charging for cancelling the pre-order though, its charging for using the promotional material that comes from pre-ordering after cancellation.

then again, if its true that u dont even need to link your psn wallet to anything then i dont see how they can charge you. in which case, how do EU pre-orders work? They just cancel the order of release date of a game if you haven't paid or linked cc info?

Won't be able to play the beta until after work. I'll have enough time to at least start the download, though. Will also be one of the few playing on PS3 since I'm waiting until 9/9 for my PS4 to ship. At least I'll be impressed even more by the final product, right?!
