Anyone else having trouble with the iOS app when logging in the Playstation ID? It logs me in, but then doesn't show any Playstation friends or show my PS account as linked. Really frustrating.

Anyone spending that much time in character creation is a loon. 20 mins, max. The vast majority of your character's looks are based on the armor and loot you acquire anyway.

I don't see how you could spend 4h in char-creation but if you manage it, the answer is still no, it won't be worth it.
99.999999999999% chance of character wipe once beta is over on top of that.

The answer is no. Spend 30 minutes tops. Probably closer to 10-15 minutes.

First off, there are not enough options to spend 4 hours on that.
Secondly, I think you should still create a character you want to see since Guardians don't wear helmets in the Tower and you see everything from 3rd person.

Tough call. I saw a quote somewhere that Bungie hasn't totally ruled out carrying you're beta character over to retail. You see your character in the hub area, and it will be worth the time for the retail game.

It's just pre-made faces. No changing body types. There is tattoos and hairstyles, and different colors for everything. Not too much really.

There is a HUGE countdown on Bungie's website. You don't need to understand timezones for a countdown.

Sure OK - we'll just keep paying for and sucking up one timezone's preferences while ignoring the rest of the world's usage patterns. And it's OK? BTW we are helping them with this beta, AND paying for for it,
My Bungie profile says I paid $80 for a beta code to be available on the 17th. It's 75% through the day with nothing, and we have to be OK with some obscure town's timing on the west coast. Asia seems to have it sorted, Europe a mess. Global service much?
