i wonder if people will wait to pass along their 2 extra codes until their beta download has progressed or even finished....i surely wouldn´t do something like this to my friends :)

If this is the future, the community needs to raise their standards.

Yeah, but instead of dumping us right in Old Russia at level 3, they said they're letting us "take those first steps with [our] Guardians" by starting us right at the beginning, which I kind of like; that means there's 2-3 more levels till cap and could make one feel that progression of power a bit better.

I do hope that some of those areas in Old Russia that were "walled" off by black barriers have opened up for more exploration.

They could go trough official test services instead of us.

BTW im getting my code on bungienet, but can i still pre order and cancel just to preload the beta.

you're not the only person who spent money and wants to play the beta right now. you're not the only person dissatisfied with the way the codes are being distributed. you arent the only person who has been critical of bungie.

What's the deal with fire-teams? Are they just like an in-game party or something? I've heard about groups, heard about clans... fire-teams are new to me.

(Admittedly, I tried to stay away from most information for a larger wow-factor when I started playing.)

You will be able to download the Beta at the same time as everybody else in the states.

Heads up to anyone that ~might~ have a Japanese PS+ account.
The client is free, and you can "purchase" it. I've been checking it out on my PS4 for a while, but I haven't been able to download it. (It shows up in the store)

I'll translate the important stuff:
"Free Download" for PS+ Members, no Bungie beta code needed.
Opens July 18th (It's currently July 18th in JST)
Currently has something like 5k "likes" on its product page on PS4, meaning it's definitely had a lot of people "purchase" it.

Basically just grabbed this as extra security.

Looks like "Registration" closed July 14th. I'll let you guys know if the client goes live before 10am regardless

Poor service? Today is not the only day the beta is available, it's available for the next 10 days.
 
Any particular reason the DestinyGAF group thread got locked?

Ah well, I threw an invite there and my name's the same here as there and even on PSN, so it shouldn't be particularly hard to figure out. And I'm more or less set for beta launch!

Some how I doubt that. You'd understand and not be acting like some kid that didn't get the game he wanted at Gamestop because mommy said no.
