It sounds like you missed a step. When you got the email about choosing a platform, did you go to the Bungie site and actually choose a platform?

You redeemed a PS4 code, so naturally you need a PS4 to play it.

You should contact Bungie with the suggestion. Im sure they are ready to listen since its their beta and they want to improve

This worked for me. The vita redeemed the code on the store quickly. Then went to downloads on the ps4. The store crashed a few times but eventually let me download it. Just playing the game now. It's lots of fun

Dead serious, backing up and and then going again shooting bots has never been fun for me, across all Halo games I have aprox. 40,000 multi player games played and have not completed 1 campaign.

Given no answer Ill take it as I cant skip it?

Is that on the US or EU store? I'm on EU and I don't see any clickable Beta symbol.

I'm stuck at the "X screen" at the moment and I'm clueless about what I should be doing to get this thing.

Actually, Bungie JUST sent me an Email with my codes in it.

Looks like they just copy-n-pasted the Code screen from my Bungie account and emailed it to me.

So, yea, you'll get an Email about it soon probably.

Finally managed to start the download remotely through PSN... Will I only get the first few hundred megs of the installer this way? Bummer if so.

Finally got an email with codes. There are three codes though. When I get home I guess I will give two away. I dont need all 3 for myself, right? Its just a single download?

by the way how many digits is the code suppose to have

I just realized my code from my preorder at EB Games (GameStop) is only 9 digits long instead of 12

Yes it does.. or at least I did long ago when I ordered the Vanilla version on Amazon


Seems to be confussion..

Grab the code you got from Bungie or from the preorder, you have to do to the bungie.net site to redeem it and select your platform, then in Bungie go to profile, codes, and the beta download codes are in there.

Apparently my code redeemed, but when I go to my downloads or library, the beta is there but when you choose it, theres nothing there. That's what I've been looking at for the last 45 minutes.


sigh...this happens every fucking time.

Step 3: After redeeming your code you will not be able to download the game from the same site. Now you'll have to deal with PSN (god speed). This step was provided by TimeEffect:



Don't use the circle button like I was! Follow this procedure.

Step 4: Go down to the Destiny pg on the PSN store and click it. Keep following the quoted method whenever you get an error screen. If the download button doesn't work just keep trying the quoted method.

Step 5: You're in! Or you should be unless something changes. You can't actually play unless Destiny can connect to PSN which I haven't solved yet but hopefully you'll be lucky and won't need additional assistance.

On the install screen there is one pic of some sort of wrecked space station orbiting Saturn , would be a nice change of environment rather than just ground level planets

You need to be about level 6 before you're able to enter PvP.

You should be able to find the Beta in your Library and tell it to start downloading. Apparently you shouldn't need a code.

Just realised that it's actually downloading in the background. If you highlight the beta and go to information you can see the counter rising.
