2 hours later, I finally get the PSN store to start the download. Yay! Maybe this file can finish in time for me to start the next phase before I leave for work. That way I can game all night. PEACE.

Ok here's how to get into the beta if you're having problems.

Step 1: Get your beta code from the bungie site. That's just perseverance. Keep spamming until you get through.

Step 2: Don't even try redeeming your code through your PS4 you'll end up flipping a table. Instead read https://support.us.playstation.com/...-to-redeem-a-code-or-playstation-network-card Click "PC or Mac: Redeem Vouchers through the SEN website". Follow the steps to redeem your code.

Step 3: After redeeming your code you will not be able to download the game from the same site. Now you'll have to deal with PSN (god speed). This step was provided by TimeEffect:



Don't use the circle button like I was! Follow this procedure.

Step 4: Go down to the Destiny pg on the PSN store and click it. Keep following the quoted method whenever you get an error screen. If the download button doesn't work just keep trying the quoted method.

Step 5: You're in! Or you should be unless something changes. You can't actually play unless Destiny can connect to PSN which I haven't solved yet but hopefully you'll be lucky and won't need additional assistance.

guys, I don't get it. I redeemed by beta code a long time ago on bungie.net, but when I pull up the respective page, it doesn't show a code. Which is weird because I got an email from them recently (I never get emails from them) about choosing what platform to play on. Am I doing something wrong or is it just fucked right now?

Dam what kinda connection are you rocking? I was pleased I got it in 40 mins on a 38 meg line which Im glad I just got. My old 5mg would have been painfull!

- Can someone confirm that codes from PS4 pre-orders work on PS3?

I went on the PS3 and redeemed a "PS4" US code for Destiny just fine... But now I can't download it anywhere.......

This music tho... I fell in love with it during the Alpha, but dammit if it doesn't feel like I'm hearing it for the first time again! So many feels.

I can understand not having the million seats because it is not cost effective to build that capacity for the few times that a million people want in at the same time. What is inexcusable is that Sony didn't mitigate the issue by doing one or more of the following
  • Allow predownloading,
  • Having an automated queue so that people can quickly request the download and have the system begin it when a slot is available,
  • Sending out the codes in batches so not everyone is trying to download at once
It's not that it takes us longer to download that is frustrating, it's that we have to babysit the whole process to do it. Give us an easy way to start the download then walk away and a lot of the frustration goes away.

nah it costs more to build 1,000,000 seats for a single event, compared to pissing people off and making them wait for those seats to slowly open

Click on the large BETA logo at the top of the page, then under it click on the codes tab.

Still that goddamn X when looking at the beta through library, anyone else?

Kinda pissed that people who pre ordered and cancelled have easy acces to the beta and the ones that do it legit (because I was actually purchasing through psn) get a shaft up the arse.

I pre-ordered on the PSN store. Is Sony emailing codes? I'm confused how I find my beta code. When I log into Bungie, it just asks me for my code
