Played for an hour. Do my eyes deceive me or does the beta actually look better over the alpha? I mean new build and all but it just does look..well better.

I was surprised by the fact we actually get to see and play what appears to be the actual start of the game and tutorial. Noticed the Aim Assist isn't as strong as it was in the alpha too.

Dinkalage's voice does sound a lot better but Bungie you guys should of just embraced the "Wizard/Moon" line now given the t-shirt and all rather than just cut it out entirely. =/

There is no question it looks far better than the alpha did. The game seems to have improved in every way.

How do you even access competitive MP anyway>

You unlock it after the level 5 story mission.

Ok here's how to get into the beta if you're having problems.

Step 1: Get your beta code from the bungie site. That's just perseverance. Keep spamming until you get through.

Step 2: Don't even try redeeming your code through your PS4 you'll end up flipping a table. Instead read https://support.us.playstation.com/...-to-redeem-a-code-or-playstation-network-card Click "PC or Mac: Redeem Vouchers through the SEN website". Follow the steps to redeem your code.

Step 3: After redeeming your code you will not be able to download the game from the same site. Now you'll have to deal with PSN (god speed). This step was provided by TimeEffect:



Don't use the circle button like I was! Follow this procedure.

Step 4: Go down to the Destiny pg on the PSN store and click it. Keep following the quoted method whenever you get an error screen. If the download button doesn't work just keep trying the quoted method.

Step 5: You're in! Or you should be unless something changes. You can't actually play unless Destiny can connect to PSN which I haven't solved yet but hopefully you'll be lucky and won't need additional assistance.

Is it just me or did the Alpha run a bit better? I feel like the graphics are slightly improved, but it sometimes seems to me like it stutters a bit when turning around.

Don't take my word on this though. It's not too noticeable and I played a lot of 60 fps games lately, maybe it's just that.

But... we've know for a while now that it was going to still be in Old Russia, and also that the lvl cap was going to be the same but that we start out at Lvl 1, and the proper beginning of the game, rather than dumped in at lvl 3 during a story mission.

You will if the users have created their clans on Bungie.net and met the requirements. The requirement being that a clan needs at least 4 people (max of 75) to be recognized in-game.

So since we're still in the 'quick everybody try and make your own clan' phase, most clans don't have that number, hah.

Yes, you played in Old Russia in the Alpha, but all the "missions" I have done so far have been new. And yes, the level is capped at 8, but the Alpha dropped you in at 4, here you start from 1 and it feels like the beginning of the game.

I don't get home till tomorrow but I managed to remote play connect with my vita and start the download. Psn was down on the web and iOS app but for some reason I could connect through RP. Thankfully the 15gb download will be going while I'm at work tomorrow.

After trying to redeem my code on the PS Store and not being able to do so, I finally could get into the Store from my computer and was able to redeem it. 28% completed so far... can't wait to play it again.

It only made me download ~170 MB. I had the Alpha installed still. Is this normal?

Yes, that's basically the client. The rest of it (10.97GB) will download after you get inside of the beta client.
