Two questions:
What's the difference with fellow members or clanmates? For example EU2 has 33 clanmates and 57 members.
trying to set as a "Playstation Clan" and it always returns me with an error message to try again later and stuff. Does it actually work for anyone else?

Members are just fellow members of the group
Clan mates have set that as their clan

Once xbox beta hits we should have more xbone people applying. So don't fret too much about member difference.
Oh lord forgot about that, Next week will be very busy accepting people wise.
Hopefully we can nail this and fully enjoy the release.
Although I have the first week booked off so can chip in here and there.

DestinyGAF is full, but the EU error is weird.
I will have a look and give Bungie a message at the forums.
But if you could also try from a PC or Mac that'd be great. the mobile site has issues.
are you trying to get accepted to the main group?
If so I can't approve you as I don't have the rights yet.
Just leave your request there and also add your details to your post, we will get to you, but as you can see we are very busy.
I am currently sat in my office both trying to work and sort out these requests

Unfortunately he is using the full site not the mobile version so that won't make a difference
Check the associated clans, and scroll through the clan list on the group, you might already be a member but it is just throwing you an error.
Can someone check if I was missed? I don't see that I am in the East Coast NA group from the Bungie app unless I am missing it .. Thanks!

I know it's full site but it is slightly different/broken on iPad, I'm sat on mine at the moment and half the things aren't working as they should.Yet they're fine on my mac
the Main DestinyGAF is full so that is the error you'll get there.
EU should be fine to go into.

Are there any clan features in game? I couldn't find them and was hoping to be able to start a fireteam with online DestinyGAF members.

Not for the beta, but looks like there will be in launch
From the clan settings pages:
Your first step beyond the creation of your clan will be to recruit your first three members. Once you can boast a roster of four, your Clan will appear in game and become eligible for rewards.

I like that I'm out of Destiny GAF when I made my request to join at the dawn of Destiny PS4 GAF :/
But hey, I still think this whole thing was a bad idea: clans fill up regardless of platform chosen by a member, so you could end up in a EU clan with few people playing on your platform of choice or just a mess split up with ten people for each console and then bam! the clan is full and you're left with basically no one to play the game with... so you'll need to join and follow a multitude of clans to have a chance at having a constant stream of fellow GAF players;
Am I right or have I hopefully misunderstood something?
Otherwise this would end up showing EXACTLY the reason why lot of us wanted platform-specific clans in the first place, instead of the big giant DestinyGAF's umbrella.

Just because we're in say clan EU doesn't mean we are unlinked from the DGAF one.
We're all actually allies and therefore we're all together in this, it's just that your hub to get into the clan is EU 2. but you should only ever have to visit DGAF to get any info.
We're trying our best to link everyone together as best as possible.
Also I would like to add that even if we made it platform specific it would mean we would get the same issues.
At the moment a lot of the Xbox clans are barely filled as the Beta isn't on them consoles yet, So when it does release you'll see those groups also fill up.

Well see how far alliances go in this game. The good thing is that new clans are rather easy to make. If it's found that xbox members make up a large minority then xbox centric gaf members would be welcome to make their own and join an alliance with other gaf.
Edit: we could also re open groups that were closed to allow xbox members to fill up their side. No rush right now.
