I don't think they can fix CoD. They expanded the appeal to zoomers by adding bisexual lightning colors, childish skins, and feminizing all the main characters.

A coop campaign played solo is highly likely to end up being viewed as bad if not for story/characters/gameplay then for purely UX issues like the inability to pause or save on exit.
