There is a dark timeline where Aruko Wada was Awakening's main artist.

Seriously, what is wrong with the art? Lots of detail and great colors.
1) Face looks weird, like everything is sized and placed slightly inappropriately. Eyes are lopsided.
2) Boobs look like they've been stapled poorly to her chest.
3) Head is too large for her body.
4) Design-wise is just kinda bad, especially relative to her original design.

So I'm pretty much resigned to using Greninja as my main. I've watched some videos but can any one give some insight to how he actually plays? I'm assuming fast and technical though not overly powerful.

Every now and then I'll replay Chapter 14 of Uprising... I'll crank up the 3D, and when the doors open at the start and the laser blasts out of my screen, and the guitar music starts, and everyone is fighting everywhere, and you're just thrown into the mix, and Palutena is whispering in your ear with her velvety voice, and Thanatos and Phosphora are beating the shit out of each other, and Viridi is whining, and Hades is taking cheap shots at everyone, and everyone's talking about dental insurance and Hades hitting on the ladies... Man.

I bow to you, Sakurai. Uprising is his masterpiece. I hope he changes his mind and makes a sequel.

I always thought a fun idea for a RE character would be for them to lure roaming zombies toward them and trick them into biting their opponents instead, lol

D'aww, I wuv you too, wittle Foxie :-3
God chapter 14 is so amazing

Been working on this for a couple days. Man making gifs is hard work. This is as good as I'm gonna get it, hope you guys like it.

I feel like not putting the big 4 mascots (Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, Pac Man) on the cover was a missed opportunity. I broke the news to someone just last week that Mega Man is in the game. A project M player, no less.

You know what the best part about Lucina is? Since she is a one-off character receiving representation as a clone, she will be easy to exclude next time, too. :-)

Throw in some anti-Snake rhetoric and you might get a cool tag like me.

And as I suspected, I didn't get a response to the above question. Obvious sign when someone is chatting rubbish.

Why would anyone think ROB would get replaced or cut at all? I think every retro character (mr. game & watch, ice climbers, ROB, etc.) are on the level of the OG 12

Every time I think Smashgaf has peaked I see a post like this and it reminds me why I love you guys so much. Quite funny and topical, keep up the good work. I wish I was half as talented at shit like this.

They should make Captain Falcon DLC for Awakening. I bet it would sell.

Haha, I said the same thing the day it was revealed. Awakening DLC that is your entire squad vs. a super power Captain Falcon. The one map where Chrom is not only allowed to fall, but encouraged.

Come on. Please don't step over creepy line here since moderators already posted warnings in previous SmashGAF Threads occasionally related to fetishes.

I can't wait for those arguments when Smash 6 is coming out

I think it's good thing that I might not be here to witness those nonsense arguments. :P

I have a request. After months of searching (or like 10 minutes), I can't seem to find this one picture that was posted in this topic. It was the pic of the day for Friday, where the picture zooms into the Yuno villager (yeah pink hair and everything) 3 times and the last one is in negative color.

Do any of your gentlemen have that picture, or know which pg it is on? I will give this fictional fruit as a prize. You can eat it to heal 30 hp

A well reasoned look at them. I've always found it amusing how some are pre-emptively calling for things to be banned before the game is even out.

I haven't understood the competitive distaste for it either. Using customizations in a controlled way, such as allowing certain move-swaps for otherwise low tier characters to make them more competitive, seems like a great way to infuse balance into a metagame that is prone to fluctuations. It's kind of like putting the balancing in the player's hands when it's needed.

Time would be the biggest issue. If setting up your custom moveset takes even a few minutes, that adds a lot of time to every match which adds a TON of time to the overall tournament. If setting up custom movesets is easy and quick (maybe set them to your Amiibo or something?) then it has a real shot.

Yeah, Amiibo should have an ability to do that since they are pushing for local multiplayers so it would make sense that you would have your own figurine with custom moveset so you can carrying it with you to anywhere like friends' houses or so.

This is exactly what I wanted for Amiibo to be, but doesn't it just store a CPU with your figh style? iirc the Wii Remote had a small amount of storage for mii profiles to be carried over to another system. Hopefully it get's used like that, Amiibo could actually be useful then.

In a situation where only pre-approved customizations are allowed for specific characters for the purpose of balancing, I can't imagine it adding more than 15 seconds to any given match. But yeah, an amiibo being able to store custom movesets, as in Brawl with the wii remote, would be ideal.

So let's break this down, how would amiibo work for multiplayer? Would both have to scan in on the gamepad but presumably neither are using it as a controller? I mean I can't imagine many tourney goers using anything other than a GC controller or possibly a Wii U pro controller.

The gamepad could just be sat on a stool or end table between both players. As long as the amiibo loading is fast then it shouldn't be difficult. Although it would be clunky having to carry an amiibo around for every character you may want to play as. Then again I'm a little confused on exactly how these will work so maybe a Captain Falcon amiibo can hold an entire roster worth of custom movesets? Idunno.
