Overalls peach needs to happen.

As far as alts go I have mentioned on many of occasion that I feel that characters need alts that reference other properties.

I already mentioned ikeryu and Kazucario

Link, Zelda, And GannonDorf in fire emblem outfits, needs to happen.

Did we ever get confirmation that Marth still has his ridiculous grab range in Smash 4?

I keep seeing people say this and I wonder if the large majority of people are going from Melee to Smash 4. Brawl Marth didn't have that oppressive a grab or nearly as many guaranteed follow ups IIRC.

Quick question.

I haven't played for a while, so my mind is foggy. So say on Smash 3DS, how would you pick up items and throw them?

Neutral standard attack input (in this case A with no directional) picks up items when you're next to them. If it's a throwing item it works the same way, if it's a weapon you can toss it with a grab input (in this case R).

Nothing really changes.

A to pick up and throw. Tilt/Smash throws work same as always. R/dodge in the air to grab something thrown at you or at eye level while ascending/descending. Spot dodge to grab something tossed at you on the ground.

I always thought it was some weirdly represented metaphor for Lucina having "big shoes to fill" in reference to her father as well as the legacy of King Marth.

But then again, Chrom has that stupid "one pant leg" thing going on and I don't think that's a metaphor for anything at all.

Maybe they symbolize what you said, and Chrom's one-legged pants symbolize the poor footing on which his generation stood in regards to the future. They didn't know dark times were coming. They couldn't see the coming storm, nor how terrible their fashion sense looked in retrospect. Kind of like the '80s, if you think about. That's why Lucina is his redemption, from a fashion standpoint.

Or they are just silly JRPG designs...

Never noticed that before.

What a bizarre detail.

Real talk though, Lucina's final smash should have just been a copy of Robin's Pair Up, except instead of Chrom, it's Owain and he just yells out the names of older Fire Emblem games.

Also, I just realized: This could theoretically work as Palutena alt (it won't but I want it)

It would be pretty funny if everyone's alt/clone in Smash 4 is just a FE character.

For most characters, the custom moves are just variations of the standard one, not completely different ones.

For example, Mario's custom B attacks are a fast firing fireball, and a bigger and slower one that causes more damage but has much less range. His custom Down B attacks are a scalding flood blast that burns the opponent, and a high pressure one. Mario's custom Forward B, add elements and change proprieties of the cape attack (Electric and wind). His custom Up B including a flaming uppercut and a seemingly faster and weaker one with better recovery.
WAIT FIRE ORB IS A SUPER MARIO RPG MOVE

GENO CONFIRMED

Nephenee as a Palutena alt?

lmao what

Nephenee is the best Fire Emblem character though

Yeah, that would be absurd and ridiculous!

Holy shit I need and want that to actually happen so bad. Why did you make me think about this!?

Purely in terms of looks. Staves and shields with stockings and green hair. I dunno, I was thinking about Nephenee and the idea popped into my head.

I know Awakening is currently the most popular FE, but other than that is there a "definitive" game in the series that most fans look to as the best or most influential?
