I'd like to see what they could do with arranging POR/RD tracks*. Them doing a take on Against the Black Knight would be incredible.

*Or any Gamecube game, really. The only GC arrangements I remember in Brawl were Luigi's Mansion, Legendary Air Ride Machine, and a couple of Pikmin songs.

Tellius arrangements would be good, but the at least the synth of the originals still sort of holds up. I'd prefer some more pieces to be arranged from Gaiden or the GBA games, simply because of their tendency to be overlooked as well as the desire to hear them freed from the constraints of the NES and abhorrent GBA sound hardware, respectively.

I’ve re-patterned my “dream roster” (with clones) after the style and layout from the 3DS demo.

Whoa how did I miss that. So there's nothing exclusive to WiiU as far as we know for now right? Interesting. Seems there's much more to find out about these games.

Certain stages and Assist Trophies/Pokeballs, but that's basically it.

You're probably better off imagining it on a regular sized 3DS.

Remember the screen resolution is only 400 x 240 (technically 800, but that's because of the 3D)

EDIT: @Ryce

So far yes, but probably we'll know about Wii U exclusive stuff (mode) at the same time when we know its release date.

Can you please make a version of this that removes "Bowser Jr.," adds "Dixie Kong" to the end of that row, and that replaces "Dark Pit" with "Takamaru?"

Yeah.

If you want an advantage, Anthony, play Brawl or Project M with the default classic controller/pro settings, except set grab to the L button. Should help get you somewhat used to the layout.

tee hee

i've been doing that since the tournament was announced

Yeah single stages I know, don't know about assist trophies or poké ball though. I seem to remember that the cast of assist would be the same, but maybe they worked differently in the two versions. Dunno.
I was talking about big features like game modes mostly. Still think they're going for a powered-up Adventure Mode (hopefully different for every character at least a bit).

I wonder how the competitive community will handle custom movesets.

Are Miis gonna be banned altogether?

Look at the last page or two, they're in if they're quick to set up, if not, then it's shaky.

Palutena won't be banned in competitive play, Mii's might be depending on how they're implemented (I'm heavily biased against Miis as a character though so I'll look for any reason to get rid of them in tournaments).

Considering absolutely everyone seems to have a plethora of Special moves I think they'll either be allowed in or custom moves will be banned altogether. They won't be any sort of special exception.

Aren't Palutena's special's all different and not a variation giving her a more diverse movepool then the other fighters?

And are the Mii Fighters the same way?

The Seven KIngs and Queens from the corners of the Earth will gather at the ancient meeting spot. They will sit in a circle around a glass chalice. In that chalice is an bundle of folded pieces of paper. One by one they take a piece of paper from the chalice. Unfolding the paper will reveal either a cross or a tick. They show each other their lots and whichever result has the greater number will determine the fate of the Miis.

Palutena's specials still have strong relationships between one another. And they will all be locked within particular input options, so it won't be too different.

The Mii fighters have twelve variations for each of the three classes and can be either light, medium or heavy weight based on the height of the Mii.

According to the official website they're the same in that sense, but they both probably have default loadouts for SP modes and the like.

If Palutena and Miis have a default moveset from the moment you first boot the game, then most likely those will be the "accepted" movesets and everything else will be off-limits.

That's what I'm expecting.
