What's the difference between escargot and snail?
I grew up eating this:
We call it gong-gong, the meat is chewy almost squid / octopus like texture when it's cooked, you pull the meat out from it's claw (which you can see from the pic), and it tastes amazing with satay peanut sauce.
I'm never sure whether it's English name is snail, conch or escargot. It's considered seafood, and I'm pretty sure it's not hermit crab, it doesn't tastes like crab meat at all.
PS: No, I'm not french, from South East Asia actually.

The name of the ingredients doesn't have to be the same name as the final product. There is also a thing called different languages, whereby things that are the same can be called different things.

Hey guys I don't know how much, if anything, was discussed about last nights WWE PPV as I skipped right past it when I saw mention. But can I ask that we avoid spoilers out in the open? I had the last PPV spoiled because of this thread and while I understand we have a large wrestling crossover, not all of us can watch live and I don't want to have to avoid this thread for fear of getting the results spoiled.
If we could maybe just use spoiler tags for the first day or so? Hope that's not an unreasonable ask.

That's conch. I wasn't aware there was a difference between snail and escargot, and I'm not convinced that there actually is.
I have already accepted that from the start of a wrestling event that I am missing, to the end of me getting around to watching it, I just cannot be anywhere on the internet.

Escargot is French for snail AS WELL as referring to the French delicacy of snails cooked in a garlic butter sauce.

This got me to scroll down to Gamespot's comments for the first time in years. First thing I see is someone equating homosexuality to paedophilia. Yup, in the grand scheme of things, Giant Bomb's community isn't doing too bad.
But seriously though, unless Bioware hire some good writers, I'd prefer they got rid of romances all together. They're laughably bad with zero subtlety.

Quick look of The Fall was really the only great quicklook for me over the last week. Both UPFs worth watching.

While I'm here! I just got a Kindle Fire as a gift, anyone know if there's a way I can sideload the GB Video Buddy app onto it?
I wasn't a big fan of the game overall, but Saints Row 4's take on the Bioware-style romance was some of the funniest satire I've seen in a game in a long, long time.

It's a weird thing that I actually got bored of the GBeast Friday show early one because I couldn't see the people playing and watching. The best parts are the reactions of those on the show. I'll download and watch it again to see if if I can get into the show on second viewing.
Also, did they open up comments on the Bombcast again. They need to have Samantha back on as she was great!
They opened up the comments again the next day IIRC.

This is all public forums on the internet. Go read the comments on anything Caro has ever written. The younger your audience the worse it usually is. The only difference is how strictly and swiftly you moderate. As you get generations of kids growing up who have never known a world without the internet and the anonymity to say vile things with no consequence - it is only going to get worse.
By the end they seem to understand the game.
Probably depends on what time they're on. GiantBomb's guys don't usually get into the office until it's 18:00/6 PM in Germany. So if the conference is during the day, seems unlikely they'll livestream.
