So what (if any) is the consensus on best class? I'm playing as a hunter—and I love me a hunter class—but warlock seems cool, too...

Damn... After all this time..I finally got to play w #DestinyGAF for the last 2 games of Crucible before the Beta was shut down ..and gawd damn did we totally run shit..I mean we beat the brakes off the other teams...good fuckin times!
See y'all again in 2 days

Damn, the Destiny iOS app is down too. I was hoping I could oogle my Titan for the next 2 days :(

Not a fan simply because people just troll the vehicles and it's basically like having instant rechargeable supers.

I agree. I don't hate the vehicles necessarily, but the fact that you can take them inside A, and capture Control Points while still in the vehicle is something that needs to be fixed, IMO.

Yeah, it's a good thing the other maps like Shores of Light are so fun & well designed. I'm sure FL is just a one-off "fun" map.

So, in the Destiny app, my characters are gone. When I try to view my Grimore Cards, it says I need to create a Destiny character to view cards.

....

This is normal, right. Just downtime, right? I wanted to use my kick ass cape I got last night for the rest of the beta =\

Come back here during e3 season. E3 season sees massive bannings. And I've only officially been in one lol though I've heard stories of previous ones.

Also go to any thread about anime looking games. It quickly devolves into people on the offensive and defensive and also results in high volumes of bans.

I was here last E3 was alright actually, I didn't see anything/one go majorly OTT ban wise.

Although saying that I did see two people get banned in the previous beta thread, but what they were saying was ridiculous especially that Unskilphil guy, the comment about the traveler he made :\ depressing.

I will keep my eye out, but obviously I'm not here for the drama, I'm here for the news and the chance to properly geek out over things with like minded people.

Probably
For PvP,is there an advantage to having better weapons than someone else?
Only in Iron Banner

I have almost all of my time in my Warlock and I'm having a blast with my char. I love the default vortex grenade over the cluster, I get a lot of kills because people don't see it or realize they're getting damaged. Great for point control too. <3 melee disintegration.

Random opinions / observations;

Warlock > Titan = Hunter
Angry Magic is awesome
Shores of Time > Rusted Lands > Blind Watch > First Light
Hand Cannons are too weak
Auto Rifles are slightly too dominant in Crucible
Scout Rifles are still awesome
I still found two little caves I hadn't found in my 15 hours of Alpha playtime
The scouting objectives aren't really fun and I intentionally avoid them
Loot drops need to be more consistent with enemy types ( Captains, Wizards and Knights need to drop more, Vandals, Acolytes and Dregs need to drop less, Boss / unique characters need guaranteed drops )
The music in this game is stunningly beautiful
The UI is still the best I've seen in recent years

I want to play more... ;-(

sorry if posted, but did anyone else run into a situation where ammo no longer dropped from enemies? i was on the strike mission and it just refilled some of my standard and special ammo after i ran out. really confused me. not sure what was going on.

Before the beta, it was warlocks, but I think people's horizons have been broadened since then.

Personally, I prefer warlock. The glide feels good, nova bomb is satisfying, and I NEED that fast shield recharge. Titans move too slowly and the super isn't as fun to use. Hunter double jump is just too weak for me and I think the hooded look is just plain dorky looking.

Unless you're playing Iron Banner, the weapon's damage stat is normalized and only the type of weapon matters. The other characteristics like fire rate, stability, and upgrades do matter.

Not entirely sure how this applies to defense ratings. I assume it's similar and ignores everything but your class and the passive skills you choose. (The ones that add armor, agility, and recovery.)

Considering only the first available talent specs that we have in the beta:
PVE best to worst: Warlock, TItan, Hunter
PVP best to worst: Hunter, Warlock, Titan
Best overall: Warlock

However, the two other specs can change this dramatically. Titan shield, Warlock resurrection, Hunter stealth all sound like they will be strong for PVP/PVE.

Have the weapons been modified? I swear my scout rifle was in the 90's and the highest damage I can get from my guns now is 62. Also, my sniper rifle sucks and is weaker than my primary. I cant find anything better yet.

P.S. - I wouldn't advise using a scout rifle in crucible/iron banner.

I hope they make drops a bit more visible too. I scan around because they seem to go flying at times and I wonder how many i've missed.

I need to get a Vita.

I absolutely love off-TV play using the gamepad on my Wii U.

I wouldn't call PS3 framerate super solid. Go visit Lord Saladin and look at that flaming gong while the Iron Banner is available ;)

That said, PS3 performance is quite impressive.

I guess I should've said except the Tower. :P

But yeah, it's impressive that it holds 30fps during actual gameplay like 99% of the time, no matter what is going on. Goes a long way into making the PS3 version perfectly viable if you don't have a PS4, and it is a really pretty game for last-gen. I think it's really good work from Bungie.

If it was 60fps I'd be more inclined to buying a PS4 for this game. :P

First light is the worst map, but it's easy to run between A and C without coming across any vehicles. Of course, once players start figuring that out the middle of the map may become a choking point... But until then tht's the best way to go.

Why is that such a big problem? I just laugh at the people who drive their vehicles into A. Makes for some easy targets with your Super.

I don't know why people hate the Moon map so much. Maybe I'm just so used to games like Battlefield where there's so many vehicle threats in your surroundings. I mean the vehicles in this game have separate icons on the map, they always show if they're close and you can hear them clearly. They almost never go into the center of the map, and that's where you should stay if you're on foot. Only use the surrounding roads if you have a Sparrow, Spike or Interceptor.

The beginning of the game is also very predictable. Those with vehicles always go towards each spawn base and clash in the middle. If you're smart you find cover and help your team eliminate all the enemy vehicles. And if you have a vehicle yourself, just stay behind eachother and don't rush ahead all by yourself.

Can we still participate in Iron Banner? I really wanted something cool T.T (I only came top in one match).

How long will the maintenance last?

I hope they add autobalance in the final release, playing 2x5 is not fun.

It doesn't really help that I'm bad at PVP on this game.
