PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | July 2014

Hm.. how big is the chance that Hatsune Miku PDF will go on sale? Was thinking about buying it today...

The last Sega PR Manager was pretty vocal that Miku won't ever go on sale. Not the base game or the DLC. Of course things change, etc, but take it as you will.

The game worth the money, anyway.

At least make a cross-buy bundle. Hatsune Miku Project Diva f PS Vita x PS3 Cross-Buy Complete Bunduru Edition(with DLC's included ;) ).

But seriously. Would have been nice to have a cross-buy bundle :/

Picked up a couple $20 PSN cards for Rogue Legacy & Phantom Breaker next week... might by Jeanne D'Arc 'cause I'm afraid it'll be taken down, but I'm still skeptical that it's actually downloadable. I need to see a screencap of the download progress bar on Vita from someone who actually owns it.

Got the itch for a shmup last night and bought that PC-Engine game, Soldier Blade... man, I wish Vita had way more shmups.

Hey guys I need some Amazon alternatives that don't charge tax. I want to buy the Destiny bundle but I will end up paying $480 if I got it off Amazon. Newegg is out of stock right now, so hopefully they get it back. Anyone here use eggsaver? About how long does it take them to ship and deliver with eggsaver?

Grabbed the Corpse Party bundle last night. Thinking of starting the first one today, but I also want to finish Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 before Re;Birth1 comes out next month. It's been two years since I started the game so if I don't start playing it soon I'm probably never gonna finish it on time.

I know there was someone here wondering when Treasures of Montezuma Arena was out in North America, so whoever that was will be happy to hear it's out next week (the 29th). The source is their press person, so it seems trustworthy.

I'm in Disneyland Paris with my little one at the moment... Saw a disabled kid being wheeled into a lift playing an LCD vita.

Today's impulse buy: Persona 4 ($8). I was going to hold out for a better sale, but I've waited an eternity to play this.

Best impulse buy is Persona 4, you made the right decision.

Speaking of Persona 4, any news regarding P4D? The japanese version is set for this autumn, which technically is soon.

I think I read in one of those Vita game threads the other day that it's coming out in 2015 for NA/EU.

But NinjamicWZ wants a screenshot! Like, proof proof, not just people's words.

Several people have stated what you just did, but some people still have doubt, no idea why.

I have doubt because I don't want to waste $15, and Vita compatibility is a clusterfuck full of confusion and misinformation, especially involving Jeanne D'Arc & Gran Turismo PSP recently being on the Vita store for a week or two without actually being downloadable.

It's easy enough to press the home button and the start button at the same time to screen cap something on the Vita. ie: these screencaps I just took that would prove to someone they can buy Cladun x2 on the SEN store and download it directly to their Vita, with no PS3 needed, even though it's not listed on the actual Vita storefront anymore -

I'm not asking for much, just certainty.

Speaking of Cladun X2, has it ever been on sale in either Europe or US regions? I've tried searching for any info about it but I can't find anything. Just a permanent price drop.
I might as well buy it anyway if it doesn't show up in the upcoming summer sale. A couple of euros isn't much, but still!

Feel like playing another RPG on my Vita.

Breath of Fire III PSP or Lunar Silver Star Harmony? I've read mixed things about the PSP ports of both. Especially with regards to loading times, is this better when playing on the Vita?

Isn't there any other option? Like Fate/Extra or Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time? If you're going with one of those, I'd suggest Lunar.

Never heard of Fate/Extra but it's not on the Australian PSN anyway. Growlanser is but I've never played anything in the series so I'm not sure about it. Breath of Fire 2 was one of my childhood favourites, lots of good memories renting and playing it on the SNES. Never played any of the PS1 entries though. And Lunar was one I've always wanted to play since I was young since I don't think it was ever released here in Australia originally.

*ANY* PSP or PS1 games with a 7 seconds loading time in their original game will have 7 seconds loading time in the Vita, since they're all *direct* port of the old versions, only made playable in the Vita.

If you have to choose between those two, LSSH is a vastly superior RPG in my opinion.

Growlanser is a tactical/strategy RPG with real-time elements *and* numerous endings *and* relationship system like Persona's S. Link only less flashy about it.

It's good, and can easily net you many uncountable hours if you look for 100% completion.

I ask because the impressions I read suggested that ripping the UMD and playing them with CFW on the PSP made loading times much better.

Oh, well, I am talking about the official ones released on the PSN. As far as I am aware, they're all just direct ports. One of the most egregious example of this is the Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.

So... It looks like Ratchet and Clank for Vita was pushed back a week. Instead of competing with Le Tour De France and Oddworld New 'N' Tasty it will be going head to head with The Last of Us Remastered and Rogue Legacy. Should result in excellent numbers.

Go with Growlanser. It's a standalone game, unless that's not the biggest issue for you.

Ratchet and Clank had a release date?

Wait, what? What the fuck? You're joking about R&C right? RIGHT?

Edit: Oh god you're not. Why?
