What ?!
No point on buying then for me if I can't have the last chapter -.-'
See? If you don't support this, we might not get it at all.

The four-screen cut was a bit strange, but yes, it's pretty good, would definitely sell Ys players on the game's premise.I know I've been harsh on XSEED's trailers in the past, but this one is actually pretty well-done.
Winter 2013 can finally start!
So are there any improvements with the PC version?

GOG = no DRM.
It should be noted that this doesn't necessarily mean the Steam version would have DRM. It's possible to release on Steam without it.
Sounds like it won't be decoupled however due to technical reasons involving the Steam extras. If it didn't have those it'd probably be properly DRM free.It should be noted that this doesn't necessarily mean the Steam version would have DRM. It's possible to release on Steam without it.
Not really since Steam itself is DRM.
Not really since Steam itself is DRM.
This is a list of games available on Steam that do not use any third party DRM (e.g GFWL, Uplay, ...) or the Steamworks CEG ("Custom Executable Generation") component, making them effectively Launcher-free once installed. This means that you can copy the game folder anywhere you want and launch the .exe/.sh directly without being online or having Steam or a third party software running.
We price fairly for Europe whenever possible.

I just want to say I approve of the use of this image for the game.

I had this irrational fear that the Japanese PSP cover art would be used, and I don't like that cover.
And for those who don't know what Chaosblade is talking about:

You're going to scare people away by posting that cover :(
While the PC version is the ultimate version, the PSP version has the ultimate release:

I think Sendou's referring to having to have the steam client to install games in the first place
With GOG, you can always download all the installers, use them, and then keep the final executable after trashing the installers. CEG requires that you keep the Steam application on your system, which can be a turn-off to some. It's just a matter of minutely less storage space, assuming that most active PC gamers are upgrading to TB HDDs anyway.

So, which of the two stores would give Xseed more money???
This version of the game looks absolutely gorgeous, too, with the added resolution options. Sara, you're doing amazing work in this world, keep it up! And Tom makes me excited about Falcom games every time he posts, for that matter. (Anyone think of Toonami when they both show up?).
I just want to say I approve of the use of this image for the game.

Ghostlight also used that cover for the european PSP release.
What's the problem with that cover? I like it.You're going to scare people away by posting that cover![]()

It's sort of like a middle ground between Lunar and Grandia with a few extra features both games could've stood to use IE specific positioning rather than fully automated movement. Basically you have everyone moving around a field with a limited range of movement per turn and can break attack charge ups, but it's grid based and fully turn based rather than an ATB variant.Having never played this, is there an RPG comparable to it in terms of mechanics and/or story?
Yeah, I'm not really getting it unless it's some sort of anti-anime thing... in which case screenshots will be just as damaging. What's the problem with that cover? I like it.
Will there be an OT for the Steam version or will we be bumping the old one?
